Arse is used in the insulting context for me, usually prefixed by;
Sweaty, smelly or complete.
Bum and bottom are used in a complimenting way;
Sexy, curvy, bump up againstable.
Only exception being "gorge-arse"

For the same reason that people now :- high five , include women when they say Hi, Guys..... , shop in Malls , scream and whoop on audience shows and generally act like fifteen year olds well into their thirties. |

You should say, in a condescending tone "No dear, you pay them to get it for you". |

On my life as a performer, I used to call myself the 'Tranny with a Fanny' (but after an article in The Guardian last year, was harangued out of it and though my trans friends supported my use of it, decided it wasn't worth further hassle and don't want to offend other trans folk).
Anyway...when doing gigs in America was always a hoot when they introduced me, as fanny there means bum |
