Cuba!
Most friendly place ever, also the most random, no internet, no street lights, power cuts, no road signs yet full of happy lovely people food rum and cigars

The first time I took my children on an aeroplane and we had two weeks in the Canaries. Having those two weeks creating memories was wonderful, we went up a Volcano and saw dolphins in their natural habitat.
On top of that I felt incredibly proud of myself having saved the money to take them, I know loads of people do it every year but we were and still are a one wage family so it felt a big deal to me.

Ive had a few memorable ones but one of the best was a holiday to Luxor back in the 90's..
Im an Egyptology geek it was a dream.holiday for me anyway..
I went on my own but met a girl in the airport who was travelling to see her husband who was Egyptian and they insisted on taking me everywhere that i hadnt already booked a tour on, including the non touristy places and eating where the locals ate.. great memories |

My nan used to live in Brixham, Devon and I hold many happy memories of visiting her there on holidays. Back then (the early eighties) it was a far slower, more peaceful way of life down there as most of the locals consisted of old folk who had obviously opted to retire by the sea |

Tuscany by car 30years ago with a girl friend, hired a little 500cc motor from Pisa airport which struggled getting up the hills.
Used my schoolgirl Italian, ate in charming little villages, paid £50 for a week in a villa with pool as it was April and out of season.
Lovely memories. |

My best holiday ever was Fiji.
I stayed at the Sheraton in denarau island. It was beautiful and peaceful and quiet and time didn't exist, every thing was just "Fiji time" |
