So that when you text again 5 hours later to ask for answer they can be all self righteous and say they were sooooo busy. Even though the real reason for no reply was they are a lazy uncaring heartless fucker.  |

If I'm busy when it arrives, it'll have to wait for a reply.
If something is so important that it requires immediate response, call me instead. I see text as a casual, reply when I can medium. |

If I'm at work I'd have a quick look at the msgs but as I'm not supposed to use my phone at work I'd reply once I'm home.
On the other hand my husband reads msgs but he never replies. He leaves it up to me. So again - no reply till I'm home

Sometimes I don't take phone with me. Other times I don't hear it.(and dont care)
I don't carry it in my hand ....on the assumption that the PM does NOT need to ask my advice immediately about some very important issue.
Last year 28 BILLION texts were sent in UK,....and up to 34 of them were important.
I don't wish to know if someone is feeling ill from a hangover. |

Sometimes I don’t have time to reply straight away. I may he just popping on for a quick look and have to come back later. Sometimes I can’t be bothered and lazy and prefer to read the forums. I don’t even get back to family and friends sometimes if they text me. |

My fwb does this, I'll text him and may not receive a reply until a few days later, I blame his ADHD, and limited attention span. But when I do have his attention it's full on, it's like he can only give attention to one thing at a time lol. I just tend to wait for him to message, then He complains I never message him!
Used to frustrate me, but the longer time I spend with him the more I understand his behaviours.
