Because I see a thread title like this and ponder 'indeed, why am I geeky?' and have an internal debate about nature versus nurture.
I then realise you mean 'in what way does your geekiness manifest itself?' and realise my thought process has rather niftily demonstrated my geek for me. |

That’s made me ponder deeply |

This made me chuckle, precision of language use is very geeky |

Played wow for years until raiding turned into a second job.
I get far too excited at marvel films.
I brought and read all of the witcher books after playing the game. Ps. Witcher 3 is the best ps4 game to date.
I still play pokemon go.
Love films based on comic books and computer games.

Aaaaah! Another female WoWer - so cool! I want to ask you all the questions but I will go off on too much of a tangent. I was a GM of a top hardcore raiding guild and I would always get excited when I found another woman in the sausage fest of WoW. But then I had to concentrate on actually getting my degrees. |

My old guild when I played had quite a few women in it. One and a man actually ended up together. I always go back to wowb wth every expansion release but it just doesn't hold my attention like it used to |

Hahaha no way. We were only a small guild but pretty dedicated. But it could be 16*hour plus sessions and if was just too much in the end.
My brother was main tank in the best horde guild on our server for years until it disbanded.
Myself, I was always undead mage. I seem to do better with ranged attack rather than up close dps.

Same. I think I'm missing the last expansion but brought all the rest, but just can't get back into it the way I used to.
I've moved on to single player rpg on ps4 now, and witcher 3, dragon age inquisition and fallout 4 are the games of choice now. |

Completed all those 3, currently played divinity original sin 2, took 25 hours just to get out the first act and it's the smallest of the three lol |

Haven't heard of that one, will have to to check it out. However no where near completing fallout yet, I think it's easiest the biggest rpg I've played so far. |

Bit of a geek but not a gamer, they bore me. Like sex, I prefer the real thing, but if an interest in science and nature and a few niche pastimes make me a geek, so be it.... |

Why am I a geek?
Hmm
Bit of a polymath
Love films possibly too much
Read and continue to read too many graphic novels and comics. Fantasy novels too
A song of fire and ice is excellent as it the GOT tv show
I know far too much about Star Wars and Star Trek for my own good
Oh and why did they cancel Firefly? |

I'd heard of that happening a few times - it's cute!
I don't think I could go back now - I'd end up disappointed but addicted once more. I'll stick to Dota and indie games. |

It's been quite a while since I've played. Cataclysm was the last time I played seriously. |

I've probably forgotten more underground metal bands than most of people on this site know, if that can be counted. I also, till this year, I played a lot of tabletop games. Nothing wargame related, though |

I'm more than a little geeky, I'm a lot geeky.
I'm a whovian, to the point I tell the kids they're silly humans, and I am a time Lord.
Warhammer geek. 40k is my favourite.
Love anything with an engine from low pressure Bolton and watt pump house steam engines to looking at cars and locomotives that are currently using Hydrogen fuel cells.
Love science stuff.
Love sci-fi and comic book movies / tv shows (marvel' s runways is compelling watching for me right now!)
Discovery channel is another of my geeks. Gold rush and how its made are amazing! |

I used to love tabletop, I had hundreds of 25mm Airfix Napoleonic. I spent more time with putty and craft knife recreating all the historical units than I did actually wargaming |

Did you know that the late actor, Roy Skelton, who famously provided the original voices for the Darleks also supplied the voice to Zippy in Rainbow?
Yep, I think that concisely describes the sort of geek I am |
