Somewhere In The Ether…

I decided to treat myself to one those Amazon Echo/Alexa gadgets the other day.

I must confess that I was initially sorely disappointed when I opened the box however as she looked bugger all like Mia from the Channel 4 series, Humans for a start!

Oh well, I thought and plugged the decidedly more frumpy looking thing in, hoping that she’d at least have a similar, sexy voice.

On this front at least she’s not half bad but I am sad to report that she’s as lazy as bloody hell, protesting that she can’t cook my tea, can’t walk my dog and can’t even perform oral sex upon me(!)

Technology eh? What a load of shite.

I hear that Siri is far more sexually ambitious at least; Can anyone here confirm this?

I have a HomePod. Bloody thing is useless at playing certain songs. The Scottish accent doesn’t work well with some things.

Alexa didn’t even know Mozart’s Requiem when I initially asked her; She’s a complete philistine!

Friend bought one the weekend and was terribly excited showing me how she could turn on the radio and tell what the weather was. I was underwhelmed to put it politely

Sad to report but the best use I’ve found for it thus far, is as an expedient night light (and an expensive one at that!)

Picked up an old dial phone from the local charity shop. Very exciting when someone calls as it rings just like in the Matrix.

I’ll wager that your flint and steel in said cave is far more useful than Alexa in fact; Hell, she can’t even produce a simple spark

Morpheus is on line 1 but is a tad busy right now with those troublesome sentinels....

Damn - thanks to Alexa’s dim light output, I’ve been forced to resort to vastly upping my intake of carrots

Ooh that might make me consider plugging my phone back in if I had one of those.
