Sat near a large thick web..this wasp..hits web..wings instantly bound..felt in part should set it free, but no chance of playing god
This monster of a spider emerged
It sunk its fangs into the wasp.
The was an epic battle which the spider spun web round each of wasps legs..pinning it down good and proper
Then it fucked off
I watched the wasp head move about the antenna shaking..tiny movement within the wasp body.
I blew on the wasp
Hot air? And movement..spider emerged again..this time sunk teeth into neck join between head and body.
Small scale action but brutal sophisticated killing on spiders part.
Spider wrapped it up good proper dagged it off under leaves.
Anyone got a fly catcher plant
Bet that's a sight seeing a plant move and grab a fly
Like day of the trifids

"Spider - Flawless victory!
....although in other parts of the world they often don’t fare as well. Check out the Tarantula Hawk; makes one feel sorry for the poor spider...."
That’s the little shite that lays eggs inside it’s body, isn’t it. ? Horrible and cruel, but still marvellous how nature can work for a species survival |
