Hi peeps. I'm constantly listening to music. I love faffing about on youtube. It's grear for finding live, acoustic and covered versions of songs. At the minute, i have three covered songs that i'm loving right now.
They are....
Jack Savoretti - So Long Marianne (L.Cohen)
Foy Vance- Purple Rain (Prince)
Mandoline Orange - Boots of Spanish Leather (B.Dylan)
Justin Diaz - Take Me Home, Countey Roads (J.Denver)
The White Buffalo - I'm On Fire (B.Springsteen)
Playing For Change - Everyday People (S.Stewart)
Looking forward to all your favourite covers. Hope you enjoy at least one of the above. |

"I like the Johnny Cash cover of Hurt, originally by Nine Inch Nails
This brings a tear to my eye
I love Johnny Cash’s cover of Personal Jesus."
Just reminded me. A couple of years back, I went to see Lisa Hannigan gig in Belfast's Empire Music Hall. She cracked out a brilliant version of Personal Jesus. Cracking tune. |

There and to the left a bit |
I love a well done cover version, that takes the original and changes it almost to the point where you go "I know this but can't place it" - mostky can't stand the ones that are just a straight cover of the original though.
A few of my favourite covers:
It Must Be Love/One Step Beyond/Swan Lake - Madness
Hounds Of Love - The Futureheads
Heatwave - The Jam
Try A Little Tenderness - The Commitments
Police & Thieves - The Clash
Roll With It - The Bluebeaters
Doctor Who/Perhaps Perhaps Perhaps - The Simmertones
Wonderwall - Mike Flowers Pops
Feeling Good - Muse
Jackie Wilson Said - Dexys Midnight Runners
Can't Get Used To Losing You/Tears Of A Clown - The Beat
Guns Of Navarone - The Skatalites
The Sun & The Rain - Indeed |
