That I get offended when I take the time to write a comment on some sausages thread and they acknowledge and respond to everyone else's but not yours.

How many of us does it annoy and how many don't give a shit?

Joking aside. I think it bothered me as a newbie but after starting a couple of my own threads, realized how impossible it is to reply or respond to everyone that comments. Most people will pick out the most relevant or humourous post to comment on, I don't take it personally. I'd be the first to admit that, sometimes (lot's of the time) I'm not interesting or funny.

There are only one or two people I deliberately avoid for my own reasons. I am sure most people are the same. It's fun if you get involved in a bit of banter with someone or someone acknowledges a post you've made and you swap a few comments but, do I care if I feel people miss me out to comment on someone else, nah, not really

I have no knowledge of snap chat. Wrong again ! A friend took the photo in a private swimming pool...the photo came with the ears !!!! Yes it's my face. Only daft ears and enlarged my eyes....but nice that my skin and shape structure look young. Lots think that too.

But back to your original post.

No need to chit chat and distract from your request for comments about if people get upset when people don't react . I personally type far too much waffle on posts . I don't give a fig if it is responded to or not.

Depends who it is and what I've written. If it's just forum nonsense who gives a stuff - if it's simply an overreaction to being ignored by a bunch of strangers then that's excess ego.

But if I make a really good point in a serious debate and no-one engages I'm disappointed sometimes cos I love to discuss and debate in depth. If an interesting eg psych thread is hijacked by frivolity I can be irritated by that ..... For a few seconds lol!

Actually excess ego is a badly expressed point - the tragedy or narcissism is that the greater the rejection at it's root, the greater the over-inflation of the ego to try and compensate, to blot it out, and the more fragile it becomes.

I think in general whenever we have an over-reaction to an emotional stimuli it's because there is unresolved wounding behind it, it triggers into something deeper and more primal. Avoiding the pain is where 'batshit crazy' comes from.

If one can divorce oneself from the belief one has, one will be less ofended and more objective. Defending the belief one has, except of defending oneself.

Sometimes simple debate looks like a personal war between forums users.

I exchange my opinions and belief on a specific subject and often notice how people cam be so triggered by it.

If someone can enlight me on a specific view that I hold, I am more than happy to accept it if it is objective and rationally based on scientific evidences, as long as, of course, it doesn't turn out i to a public humiliation.

OP as someone has said previously you are very self aware, you know your strengths and weaknesses. Being ignored on the forum on occasions is the nature of the beast. We have all at one time or another not replied to someone that has posted on a thread we have started or someone that has replied in quote to a post we’ve made. Yes I think there are occasions when it’s deliberate but the vast majority of the time we get distracted, real life can happen etc and we forget to go back. This is one of the reasons I don’t start threads so often anymore. You have to maintain them which isn’t always easy and can be very time consuming. Occasionally I start threads with the couple account and poor Swing ends up doing the admin with some gentle persuasion.

Don’t concern yourself when you get ignored, remember all the times you aren’t ignored. You always make me chuckle and I know you always mean well
