"plenty of tinned stuff - lidl is good for that - they do lovely curries in a tin - rice in sachets, i'd get that kindof stuff. Z"
yes going to get all that in the moring getting tesco basics (he will learn to like it lol)
Ive even written a list of what to have with stuff instead of just opening one thing and having nothing with it.
Bless hes lived more or less on his own for four years but you know what mothers are like.
I even had to buy him a set of matching towels although ive lots of odd ones here

Lol, hes been with his twat father for 4 years and we finally got him out of there, thats why hes got nothing just clothes and stuff cause everything is left.
He wouldnt dare ask me to wash stuff lol.

"Condoms
it sounds like he's a student (;-)"
He works, he was the first to get the place, only know of one more tenant moving in to date. They all have to be in work and he had to show his criminal background reference so hoping they are all going to be decent |

You can always send him a food parcel now and again, via the home shopping
I'm sure ASDA did a student voucher for food only, you send them say £20 voucher and they buy £20 worth of food. |

Do what my son did on one of his trips home from uni ....... He took a picture of the inside of my fully stocked fridge, blew the pic up to poster size and stuck it on the outside of his fridge.
He said it made him feel better for a minute or two before he investigated the mouldy tin of beans and solid block of inside. |

Loo or sink unblocker liquid. Loo blues that you put in sistern or whatever you call it. Dried mixed herbs and a very basic cookbook with how to boil an egg etc. Cooking oil. Washing liquid tabs to save measuring out powder. |

If anything like our son, curry paste curry powder and chilli sauce. can be mixed with anything from pasta rice and pot noodle.
Mind when he said sweet chilli sauce and cornflakes were a good mix stopped asking what he was eating at that point!!! |

Count your blessings 'Diamond'. A vanilla friend of mine was in the same possition. Her son lived with her ex and unbeknown to her, he (the ex) kicked the lad out when his new woman moved in. The boy (well man, he's 21)lived in an empty, rusty container on the edge of a wood for 6 months before she found out. That was in winter time too.
And you think your ex is a twat.
All a lad needs is his health and a good mum. Looks to me like your Callum's got that.

ur being a lovely mum diamond!
When i moved out at 18 i had sod all help.
But having the odd food parcel now and then, of the expensive stuff like washing powder etc. And a few luxuries really helped.
As for the rest...I think u have the right idea letting the lad find his feet and learn to take care of himself.
Just knowing his mum is on the end of a phone for all those little 'emergencies' will help.
Dont get urself stressed out about it....he will be fine! |

Stamps
Envelopes
Stack of Birthday cards
Address Book with all important numbers in
Birthday date book (see cards, envelopes and stamps above)
And a note explaining that if he can't afford christmas presents, not to worry. A card and an up to date photo of himself to his relatives will be a fantasic gift for all those that receive it.
Oh....... and does he have an iron and an ironing board?
And lessons how to use them! |
