I have just seen an interesting documentary about history secrets on the most important document on earth, they have found a peace of fragment, where it said "jesus said to them, my wife" would your belief change of it was true? I would still believe cos, sex is just as important as food and water, whats your view? |

It would make sense. Men a rubbish without women so why wouldn't he have had a wife?

The story of Jesus is essentially based on Myths, and what a group of people in ancient years sat down and decided to include in the stories that makes up the bible..People just like to believe it's all true.
Same as the Titanic is a proven myth. The ship lying at the bottom on the ocean is in fact the Olympic, switched and sunk by the shipping company for the insurance money. The letters Titanic were plated on top of the original engraving of Olympic but 2 letters have come away revealing the letters M and P underneath. Yet we all still believe in the myth of Titanic....Why? Because people want to believe.
It's the same with Jesus, the bible says it so it must be true and people want to believe in its description of Jesus and his lifestyle. XXX

All you need to know is the universe was made by baby Jesus dad and that his dad made people kill him to save the said universe.

just curious what there is to admire about a person not only choosing to believe wildly implausible stories but to use those stories to be the foundation of their finite existence on this planet ?
I don't think there is a great deal to admire about a person who despite zero collaborative data take such a convinced stance of belief

by saying I don't admire I am NOT saying or implying anything negative or derogatory either

Jesus is a fairly common name, so it could be from any one of the millions of people with it.
If it was from the supposed Jesus of Nazareth, in the bible, then it would be the first documentary evidence that he even existed, as far as I know. How anyone could validate that it was from or about him, is an entirely different matter as it would probably be almost impossible.
I'm assuming that no physical evidence of his life will actually transpire in my lifetime. |

That’s because it’s utter bollocks. There so many fixtures and fittings that are visible, unique ship superstructure and Titanic branded artefacts that there is no possibility of it being another ship. One ignorant keyboard warrior who probably hasn’t left his bedroom in months sees some corrosion/ bio growth on the steel nameplate on the history channel Titanic special, thinks it looks like a couple of letters.... and here we are

The two ships were launched about 18 months apart and were pretty much of equal value so what would be the point of switching the ships and sinking one and claiming it was the other? They stood to lose everything if the fraud was discovered. Total nonsense. |

Errrrrrm...isn’t that a Dan Brown novel? I’m genuinely worried that I can’t tell if this was sarcasm or yet another person taking that story as truth.
Then again, even though I’ve read both Testaments, I think those stories are just as fictional. There’ll be a nugget of truth, there always is. They are just supposed to illustrate the behaviours that you should exhibit, according to that particular religion - the interpretation of which depend on the historical context within which they are interpreted.
Nicely evidenced by the Sodom and Gomorrah tale in the OT that was originally meant to warn those who would betray guest right of the divine retribution that would result but that was reinterpreted in the Early Dark Ages to warn against homosexuality (nice piece of PR work there!). This fit in with the geo-political conditions at the time which required both the production of babies within the faith in order to grow the congregations/raise tithes/grow the power base of the leaders as well as stamp out the more liberal associations of the previous empires. In addition, it also cemented control of the leaders. You won’t get to go to heaven unless you participate in the sacrament of marriage and raise lots of bonny babies that believe the same thing. It was genius.
