"Best at the moment is McDonald's."
It's certainly the hottest, but once you get halfway through the bitterness turns your mouth inside out! Costa everyday for me!

"Yes I gotta say McDonald's coffee is the best , and for the price you can't beat it ."
They're starting to do a flat white I think i saw too. Waitrose free coffee is pretty good!!
The worst would be all those years of bitter, weak, overbrewed kona coffee they used to serve all over the UK - we only ever got a decent cup when we went to France!! That or the overpriced Starbucks I bought in the motorway with NO discernable taste of coffee!! |

Worst coffee I’ve ever had the misfortune to drink, I actually spat it back into the cup but that was about eight years ago and it wasn’t bastardised with frothy sweet milk. |

How anyone can drink their coffee astounds me ..It's like drinking sewage !! |

I don't drink any coffee I love the smell but hate the taste, but a few at work have said how that McDonald's coffee is pretty good now. But people spend a fortune on it at work, we have a Costa coffee cart and some people spend £10 a day every day!!

I was so angry - I went for large and it cost a fortune too! If I hadnt have been going North at 70mph I'd have taken it back and demanded a refund!! |

Flat White from Ouseburn Coffee concession in Fenwick's is great. They have a proper cafe somewhere too. I used to like Pink Lane Coffee but it is weak as fuck every time I go now.
Starbucks tastes awful. Over roasted to try and disguise the fact they are too stingy with the weight of, or quality of, the coffee beans used.
" Costa flat white is good "
Agreed. Because it tastes like a latte should, whilst their latte doesn't |

Your missing out on good coffee. Your missing nothing from the vast majority of offerings in chains. |

When I used to travel a lot, bought a couple of packs of a coffee that self-heated, think may have been the Nes brand but was a long while ago. YUKKK never got hot enough and tasted awful. Don't see that around anymore thankfully, wonder why |

The chains are uniformly crap. Cheapest beans they can source either over-roasted and bitter or bland and weak. Find a decent independent shop that roasts their own and discover that coffee is as varied as wine. And learn to make it properly at home. |

"Greggs latte is amazing..and they chuck a bacon roll in all for £2.80 win win "
its expensive by you then
£2.00 here for a Bacon roll and a Latte or £2.25 with an extra topping (omlette or sausage) |

Sadly, I've had lots of bad coffee. Hard to name the worst but have to say I don't like McDonald's at all.
The best coffee I've had recently, is at a cafe in town called Cafe Indiependent. Love it.

Worst coffee ever is the 1 ever time I tried it; I nearly spat it out, as I only drink tea, and the person I was at there place drank coffee. The stuff is fucking disgusting. |

Toffee latte is awesome! I've gained 4st this year drinking those.
I haven't braved a 'normal' McD's coffee for over a year, it used to be vile. I needed 6 milks and 3 sugars in it. |

"I've had coffee with chicory before it's vile"
Camp?
I'll drink most but frequent small outlets that I know have fantastic coffee.
The worst has to be the dives that used to throw in whatever instant coffee they used, coupled with some cheap UHT milk.
I won't buy Nestle stuff on principle and generally drink tea at home. A flask is worth it, to take when traveling, so you know the ground coffee you have is of good quality. |

Rijo machine coffee is rank but their mocha is passable.
I had another branded machine one in a pub this morning which was THE worst I've ever had, cappuccino the color of soil, tasted foul and the foam was loose and dispersed quickly.
You can't beat my 'local' independent place. I travel a 12 mile round trip for their coffee, never had a cup to match it up or down the country, independent, chain or machine.
Honest I'm not a coffee snob. |

Starbucks the worst, I thought costa was ok but last cup I had was awful, I think they dont bother with the coffee.
We were staying in a hotel last week and I said could I have a strong coffee and the guy said have an americano with 3 exspresso shots it was great. I dont suppose costa will do that for me |

Fighting with the idiots who were brazen enough to label it ‘coffee’. |

It seems to depend on where I go. Some branches of the same brand appear to have different quality.
As a rule of thumb, Costa is persistently good taste and quality. Nero is mostly decent, but I've had such varied experience from different Starbucks. The one that was local to me used to be my favourite place for coffee, but a lot of the other outlets always seemed to make theirs weaker |

"I had to change my coffee to a Starbucks this morning due to weather. Fucking abysmal coffee . What is the best or worst coffees you've had ( shop wise ) ?? "
Starbucks coffee is shite! Costa do a ground coffee that's smooth but I mainly use coffee pods from nescafe, Aldi and lor. L'or also sell ground coffee which is nice.
Cork coffee roasters do one called morning growler... it's a toe curler |
