Brokeback Mountain

Not kidding... Breaks my heart every time... Beautiful film crafted from what was actually a mediocre short story.

Not your traditional happy ever after romance film but a heart warming one nonetheless

Don't really watch romantic films and not sure it's everyone's idea of romance but king Kong not a happy ending though

You've Got Mail.

It had Christmas, a quaint bookshop, great actors and a good script.

Easy watching, but not mind-numbing or sickly sweet.

Dear John

Last of the Mohicans

Four Weddings and a Funeral

Because i like love stories that overcome things. Love is often never come by easily because life gets in the way, and these films reflect that, but if you're meant for each other then love always finds a way.

Second earlier mention of the classic "Casablanca" for those such as me who love old classic movies.

I have an everlasting love affair with the film A Room with a View, so that’s one.

Amélie, I’d never seen it and then someone said I reminded them of the character, so I watched it. I enjoyed the film, I think the comparison was a leap.

An Affair to Remember. Blue Valentine. Before Sunrise trilogy. The opening of Up! When Harry Met Sally. Gone with the Wind. WALL-E.

But in many ways, my favourite....is Brief Encounter.

The railway station is still there. Not sure about the cafe and old hissing steam boiler for making tea.

Withering Heights, such overwhelming love and passion, hate and jealousy and all consuming obsession which ultimately leads to heart wrenching loss, a true love story if ever there was one

You know what, it's not marketed so much as a romance film, but has anyone seen 'Submarine'?

It's directed by Richard Ayoade and about a teenage boy trying to find his direction in life, who's infatuated by a beautiful and rebellious girl and tries to apply his geekish and well thought out logical ways to win her over.

The cinematography is beautiful and the story is so reminiscent of school days and that first big crush.

Such a good film to watch, even if you're not a fan of romantic films.

Finally got K to watch When Harry met Sally this weekend and he actually liked it!

My favourite one would be either Bram Stokers Dracula or Moulin rouge
