We receive the odd message where the profile picture looks okay but then look at their profile name and think, sorry not on the right page so don't bother replying.
Some are amusing but others are just  .

I often wonder what on earth the owner was thinking when they chose some of the more graphic usernames - did they really think it was going to be appealing to write to someone unsolicited with a name like Back Door Destroyer?!
Or are users that choose those names never planning on meeting and just here to perv pics and troll people? |

I'm put off names that have anything to do with things I don't like, for instance I'm not a big fan of race play, (nothing to do with the 100m) So I tend to stay away from any username that has "4black, 4BBC, or the like in it, this is my personal preference after all |

Decided not use this profile name on a fanzine forum site. 
We have other profile names on a different site as the names are appropriate for that place and do not relate well here.
Some profile names can put us off. Also something about it taking seven seconds for someone to make up their mind about you upon meeting is worth remembering for a first social . . . |

There’s a guy who posts in the forums who’s profile name I don’t like but I agree with most things he posts and I find him to be very intelligent so I would meet him regardless of his name. |

I have to admit I've been put off replying to mail because I've found someone's profile name distasteful (needless to say a meet was never going to happen).
A person's choice in profile name is a reflection of their personality. If its something really vulgar and cheap... Well... Enough said...  |

Our profile name puts some people off but it’s not a bad thing as far as we are concerned , it immediately tells people our type of relationship so those that don’t understand our dynamics or haven’t any interests in our type of play don’t need to waste their time reading our profile because they will already know we aren’t a suitable match we are not by any means into full on bdsm or anything too extreme but we do like people who have an interest or at least understanding of d/s play trying to keep explaining to people who have no idea can get tedious !
