The new era of Hip Hop, grime and mumble rap is awful. A genre that has not evolved for the better in my opinion.
American skater punk and ska punk. As a punk and ska fan, I just cant abide by it. The mass of shite bands is too big to list.

I'm a Red Hot Chili Peppers fan but I've seen them live twice and they were terrible both times.

I've actually grown to like Niki Minaj recently.
People insist that she's shit because she raps and because of the way she dresses and presents herself, but actually she's an incredible lyricist and I really respect her as a feminist because she will always stand up for herself and defend her right to look and act however she wants |

i saw a youtube video of kanye west singing bohemian rhapsody, freddy mercury was cut into it showing his reaction as the song got competed slaughtered, then it cut to queen doing it.
since then i knew the musicians of today are fucking clueless and depend more on auto tuning and sexy females in their videos to sell songs.
i don’t listen to radio much but when i do it’s definitely not Radio 1. |

Putting aside all the "givens" of boy bands, novelty acts and manufactured X Factor artists there are a few regular bands that grind my teeth....
Nickelback - woeful, bland, boring, just awful
Coldplay - first two albums were good but then just became U2 lite
Most heavy metal and hard-core rap/hip hop leaves me cold too |

Most mainstream music from any genre is shit, but dig a little deeper and you'll find some gems.
I find it funny when people hate certain genres but then like songs that have used samples from the genre they apparently hate |

as others have said radio 1 and just about everything in the flop 40 charts over the last 30 yrs or so.special mentions for oasis,bananarama,robbie Williams for there dedication to singing such crap tunes. i could mention many more but i could be writing a list for half an hour  |

Not a huge fan of...bands like slipknot / Korn etc.
All that screaming, really makes my head hurt. And come to think of it surely they must have an awfully bad headache after a gig

Most modern music sounds like it's been slapped together in an afternoon by fuckwits necking hooch! It's empty and souless..
I also hate how every rap song can fire out the 'N' word like a clan member with tourettes, yet the moment I try rapping it in Tesco I get nothing but mucky looks.??

American and European bands/singers. Not all, but most.
WeWeave plenty of our own bad music, but in context, we're blessed to have produced the talent we have from this small country.
The standard across the board is in terminal decline now though. It's a shame. Listening habits and attention spans have changed. Everyone is being pushed toward the same absolute dirge these days.
