80s or 90s music which is best?

Due to my slight age gap with hubby, we disagree on this. He thinks 80s was the best, but he's soooo wrong, 90s was so much better.

What do you all think?

That’s easy, the 90’s

They will all be remixes of the originals from the 80’s

Bit like today’s, how many albums can the ministry of sound have where all the tracks on it are the same as the last one

Ah but the 80s had rap and hip hop but more importantly they had Two Tone, New Wave, House, Acid House etc, and not to mention the rise of Indie...

...see? Neither is better

80s of course, the veriety of cheese pop was on an epic scale, the fashion was just as bad too, the 90s was just one continous baseline with no imagination.

Music died around 1988 after the unforgiving onslaught of Stock Aitkin & Waterman so the 80s wins, fact

York

I was born in '82 but didn't really start taking notice of music until the 90's. I never cared much for chart music but the 90's had some good acts, from the rave scene in the early part through to the huge indie/britpop movement and later the trance/hardhouse scene.

The KLF

Altern8

The Prodigy

Chemical Brothers

Tony De Vit

Soundgarden

Utah Saints

Oasis

Blur

The Stone Roses

The Charlatans

Gomez

Cast

Ocean Colour Scene

Red Hot Chilli Peppers

Ugly Kid Joe

Monster Magnet

Nirvana

Mazzy Star

Paul Van Dyk

Even Roxette as a guilty pleasure

Those are just off the top of my head, plenty more will come to me
