The reason the man went into the woods to speak is two fold.

Firstly it was the only way he was ever going to get a feckin word in.

Secondly, in talking to the trees he was far more likely to get a common sense, well balanced and factually correct response to any question he posed than he ever was asking the "bearer of BSE" he is married/partnered to
