If I'm not pro Trump, I must be pro "some other unspecified career politicians". That is the false dichotomy.

It is perfectly possible to dislike both.

The "interesting" thing about Trump as I see it, is that he is the capitalist class that the career politicians are often accused of being the lackeys for.

Not sure I agree on either the term "free world" or the leader therof, but its another perspective.

Sounds like you're falling for Trump's 'fake news' schtick.

He tweets, he gives speeches, interviews, press conferences. You can read/hear his own words and see what decisions he makes, with no media spin.

Acting like you can't judge him without meeting him personally is kinda silly.

Seems a bit out of his depth as a statesman although maybe not quite as big a disaster as some were expecting (ie the economy hasn't tanked and there ain't no wall yet).

I never liked him when he was on The Apprentice US. Before fake news and presidential elections.

He’s an arrogant man who put down the contestants, even the celebrities. He belittled them by making one group camp outside in one series so they started off at a disadvantage.

At least Alan Sugar would give constructive criticism.

I reserve a special category of hate for Blair.

I see him as a different thing to Trump.

Blair is a traitor who worked to destroy the labour movement from within the labour party.

Trump blatantly represents the interests of the 1%, so he's many things, but a class traitor isn't one.

(They are even making people believe rocket man is the innocent victim. ) Playing em at their own game. Turning around everything they throw at him. Tweet to the world before they lie about him.

Taking on the establishment on his own.

If only we had a prime minister or a shadow leader who would look out for their own.

#Releasethememo and revel the truth. Then drain the swamp.

Paul Joesph Watson is well worth watching. Snowflakes hate him but he’s not afraid to tell it how it is

But at the end of the day you can believe sky news. BBC and LBC and call him funny names and laugh at his hair.

Highly articulate, strategic and wealthy. I don’t agree with many of his decisions but according to his Approval Poll, it’s not so different to Obama’s. One activity that many miss is, he’ll be up for re election 2020, he’s escalating the fire power towards N.Korea and if America becomes at the brink of conflict, he’ll certainly get his second term. From what I’ve heard, he’s already placed an application for that second term. There’s a lot of resources in North Korea!

I dislike him but he's ruffled up enough feathers where things may be starting to change in the world. For instance, reforms in Saudi Arabia and possible Korean unification.

I was a big fan of how Obama handled things during his tenure, but did anything really change?

Okay... I can only rationalise the oval office occupancy of the tango hued, pouty lipped, commander in chief of the greatest, god blessed nation on earth by thinking that the powers behind his presidency are actually trying to put someone in place that will enrage and alienate great swathes of the population to the point that new laws will be emplaced to ensure that only a decent and qualified candidate can ever be elected. And not force the people to make the whittled down from a couple of billion choice again between a woman they detested and couldn't relate to and a reality tv multi bankrupted dayglo narcissist!

It's the only logical explanation

I think you'll find that obama caused more racial tension than pretty much any modern president and Trump is suffering the backlash of it quotes such as If I had a son he would look like trayvon

look at his statement on micah xavier johnson who gunned down 5 cops he stated When speaking about Johnson, Obama claimed that “none of us is entirely innocent” when it comes to racial discrimination – “and that includes our police departments.” this was before the bodies had even turned cold.He is one of the reasons that middle America joined with the right because ordinary people had enough of his rhetoric. He was a soundbyte president nothing more. I actually liked the guy at the start and thought he would be good for America but he ostracised the middle and the right and that was always going to end up bad for the democrats.

Never met him, a media portrayal from my perception, he is not a career politician, the career politicians won’t like him, ‘cause he will change things.

Depends if you like career politicians or not.

That’s marketing, media is a portrayal of a projected opinion.

Well in my world.

If his twitter is "marketing"...

What on earth is the product? A semi-literate, infantile narcissist?

I bow to your knowledge, as I said, I have never met him, only know what I know through media.

I bow to your knowledge.

Just think, from experience, that career politicians have nothing to sell, produce nothing, create money out of fear, dictate with no reprisals and cover thier own backs.

Hey, I was only around them for a short time.

Ah, the false dichotomy.

False?

Can you be specific please?

If I'm not pro Trump, I must be pro "some other unspecified career politicians". That is the false dichotomy.

It is perfectly possible to dislike both.

The "interesting" thing about Trump as I see it, is that he is the capitalist class that the career politicians are often accused of being the lackeys for.

Drain the swamp? He is the swamp. "

"Drain the swamp? He is the swamp", you say. Well there is an old saying, 'if you want to kill a snake its best to send a snake into the snake pit'. The American people were so fed up of all the snakes in Washington, the self serving career politicians and the establishment, they are all snakes. Washington is a snake pit and the American people have sent Trump in to sort them out, Trump may be the biggest, baddest snake there is and is taking them all on, all by himself. He's took on opposition in his own party, he's took on the opposition Democrat party and he's also taken on the establishment main stream media. It's long over due, and Trump has my respect for doing that.

Have Relatives in Boston USA and New Orleans . They are now American citizens and ALL voted for him as the best of a bad lot . Clinton bad because of the reputation of Bill who is portrayed as an angel and model citizen when in reality he leaves Trump way behind when it comes to respecting women .

Hilary is as Trump said a crook and many good men and women have suffered due to her behaviour, including one guy committing suicide .

Trump gets bad press generally because he winds people up deliberately "not presidential" He actually calls out folks and lets be honest on his campaign trail he called out a lot and not one sued . America is a sue culture and he has I believe paid of a female but its the norm to pay off as its cheaper than going to trial , that's how their legal system works ALL based on deals. My relatives living there have said they are seeing improvements , jobs, immigration, security ,etc . They admit he IS putting the USA first and many in the USA don't like it because they believe some are suffering but generally even his haters in the bar are saying first president for a while who actually is doing as he said . Many joe public Americans are critical of sit on the fence Obama many of the African Americans say he promised us a new way and gave us nothing . The media and the left/liberal elite hate trump because really don't like being hit with the truth because its uncomfortable . Trump has no filter he says what he thinks and calls people out and people don't like that , at the same time they whinge our politicians are not being honest with us. We in the free world have a democracy we vote in we vote out, we have a culture now of continual demos after demo if we don't get what we want , before we just waited until the next election. People can demo as much as they want but if he improves the usa by putting it first he will win next time around . However the democrats are getting ready for a fight and all over Boston R kennedys son is doing the media rounds and preparing. I watched Trump interview last night and yes he is no great speaker although at the summit he was received well even by his media critics . He is clearly a business man first who says it how it is If he hadn't he wouldn't have got the votes .

I had an opinion on him, based purely on what I heard on social media etc.

I didn't like him.

I have family in the US who voted for him, I've heard their reasons, and found myself agreeing with a lot.

I've heard from them, the changes that have happened.

I watched last nights interview, abd although I still think he's a bit of a pratt, my opinion of him has changed

I think the media over here portrays a very one sided version of him

That is right they do. I found the grab them by the pussy quite fun. I guess it depends how the media betrays him to the public, but no doubt we will see more record breaking with the economy.

"Master tactician, good politician, idiot, clown or clever guy

What’s your honest opinion of this man???

Never met him, a media portrayal from my perception, he is not a career politician, the career politicians won’t like him, ‘cause he will change things.

Depends if you like career politicians or not.

"The media" being largely made up of his own tweets?

Very strange that here in uk we are fed so much about him by the British media.

So much coverage on his state of the union.

So what!

He’s not “our” president

Do we here in the uk really need to have a 24/7 running commentary - do we gain anything, feel better about ourselves by approving/condemning/discussing how he is running the US.

He should never have won but when you look at the alternative you can see why he did.

I would have preferred to see Ron Paul as the Republican candidate and Bernie Sanders as the democratic candidate. They both have the complete opposite political theories and they have stuck with them for a very long time.

I also think that smaller parties should have been given the opportunity to debate their ideas and policies so people can see an alternative to the main parties.

If I had a choice between Hillary Clinton and Trump I would have voted Trump for mainly to keep Hillary out she was that bad.

Shoots from the hip when talking and often sarcastically.

His policies are good for America, the american dream is dead and buried no one can even afford an apartment let alone a home with 2 cars on the driveway and 3 kids.

If they don't stop their billionaires outsourcing everything across the world they will go belly up when oil runs out.

Trump knows it so is attempting to prolong oil while decoupling them from arabic influence.

All in all a vast improvment for America from Obama, who just went around drone striking people to death.
