Can dropping a key down someone's back cure a nose bleed? Probably not!
Can you really put a sailor in a long boat and wank him sober? Highly unlikely and surely a waste of human resources!
Red sky at night... shepherd's delight.
A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush!
What are your favourite myths, remedies or old wives tales?

Red sky in the morning, shepards warning... We had a red sky yesterday morning and then 60mph winds last night, trees and fences down everywhere, power cuts.... So I very much believe this one |

"There is actually some truth in the red sky at night rhyme. "
Lots of them are based on truth but whether based on truth or complete fantasy, they're all interesting.

It's got to be the one that everybody is familiar with. I always take note of the sky in the morning and at night and, trust it as much as any weather forecast. |

There's some science associated with this one to do with refraction of light caused by dust in the atmosphere....is anyone still awake? |

"I always salute magpies and say a few words. Also the gap between your wrist and the inside of your elbow is your feet size."
And say a few words? You can't leave it like that...
What few words??
I've tried the foot thing, works for me. Wishing I'd taken my shoe off!
I'm sure I'll think of an excuse by the time I get to my chiropractor |
