Ok! True but in terms of the story he slots in between 8 and 9.

Ah.....I hate to complicate things but we’ve also forgotten the actor who played William Hartnell’s Doctor in the Peter Davison story, The Five Doctors.... (an annoying stickler for detail that I am)

Richard Hurndall, was just about to mention that but you beat me to it.

Also depends on if your going to include Cannon doctors or not, as then you have to include Richard E Grant and Rowan Atkinson, Hugh Grant and Joanna Lumley before Christopher Ecalstones doctor

.

Ah yes, The Curse Of The Fatal Death, Comic Relief episode - that was fun and Rowan Atkinson especially made for a great Doctor! Also (and this is at the risk of sounding really nerdy) but years before the previously mentioned storyline starring John Hurt as the War Doctor, there was a similar ‘future’ Doctor storyline in Colin Baker’s, Trial Of A Time Lord series. The prosecutor was eventually revealed to be the Doctor himself (and evil) between regenerations as I recall. I sadly can’t recall the actors name however. *Geek moment ends*

*whispers* I didn’t want to betray the true level of my nerdiness but the characters name in question was The Valyard
