"Salted, or unsalted butter?
And will you extend your research to other brands of butter?
The world needs answers!
"
Well Lisa I agree this must be answered so I feel needs to be opened up to forumites!
I have Lurpack salted and Anchor Salted....I’m leaning towards Lurpack |

"The big question remains however.....are crumpets best served as a sweet or else a savoury meal? "
Crumpets are just a snack, although I did have a job punching all the holes in the little blighters many years ago |

Anchor is too salty. Good for a Last Tango in Paris moment though! |

Oooooh now then........
By "crumpet" what do you really mean?
Does it have a top full of little holes?
In which case it is a Pyclet
And Not a crumpet!
A crumpet has a floury top.
Pyclets are much superior to crumpets,
Cos the butter melts into all the little holes....
