I think it's because we never used to have things like this all year round like we do now.
Over indulgence was reserved for Xmas and special occasions.
Now you can pop to the pound shop and buy giant bars of chocolate any day.

They've certainly changed, not just the chocolate flavour but also the choice - peanut cracknell, gooseberry creams, coffee creams, nougat and square caramels are all varieties I can remember when I was young. Admittedly that *was* a long time ago. They're a bit boring now |

Sweet wrappers are all wrong too. None of the twisty see through bits of plastic but wrip tough little open packets. Not the same at all . Can't make stained glass windows from them now |
