I mean, like any job you do?
I see people that class themselves as tradesmen and do things by halves and have a poor quality of work, whereas I try and put 110% into everything I do. Do it right or not at all
What about you? |

A world of my own |
I take huge pride in my job. I often have to rely on tradesmen. Luckily I have a bit of a dream team who are amazing. Sadly though I've been stung by some who aren't.
I'm very passionate about my job and the work that the charity I work for do. It's also quite close to my heart. As a result I take things not going well personally. |

Yes... To the point of doing too much and caring too much.
Which is fine until you get a new team member who couldn't care less, gets paid more for the same job, screws up critical tasks and gets away without even a slap on the wrist let alone disciplinary warnings.
Then you just feel you're a mug since management are clearly fine with people turning up, doing a shit job and taking their pay check every month.
Makes me lament not being able to stop giving it 110% and also depresses me

"Yes, no half measures. If I'm going to do something I'm going to do it properly."
You mean, like your profile pic?! That is most definitely a proper job (good idea too ) |

a quandary, could you change my mind? |
Always full effort and thought goes into the things I do. I know that the effort I put in isn't appreciated by some but I'm me, the great thing is being asked for by name, so some do appreciate when you give your all. |

Yesterday I was suppposed to be on holiday - I had a number of emails come through that was easier for me to resolve on a quick call rather than leave it till Friday
I should t care as I get treat like shit. But do because boss is sound, and there are times when I want time off short notice or leave early to go to watch football |

I do, I do activities in a care Home and if they aren’t up to scratch then I soon know about it, so I always make sure I research anything (after learning the hard way) I do.

I hate my job but it pays alright so I do it but I’m not especially proud of it
If I make something or do some sort of craft then yes I take absolute pride in it! It had to be perfect or thrown away Geeky has seen me throw away many origami models because they’re wrong

I do, I work in a jewelers and we quite often sell watches and diamond rings etc. Some of these gifts and items end up being something for a life time so I take pride in making sure they get the exact thing they want else I'll refer them to another jewelers that'd have what they needed |

I had a funny conversation with a bloke I work one day.
Basically he hated the company and voiced it on many an occasion, he called me a mug for taking pride in the job I did. Despite I didn't think highly of the company, that I worked for at the time.
The work you do wether good or bad, reflects what type of person you are. |

I did in my last job as peoples lives were involved. Now I still do my current job the best I can but I don't fight to get it done right if the organisation doesn't care. |

"I never put in 110% Geometry and perfect fit is a vital part of my work so anything other than 100% is just wrong."
As a retired engineer i know there are two ways to do a job. The right way and the wrong way 100% or it is simply wrong and no i was not a repair man |
