Not entirely sure I've got this right but...The the recipe that most people still use to make banana flavouring is based on a banana that was wiped out by some kind of blight years ago. So it does taste of banana...Just not one that we are familiar with. They just haven't got round to updating the banana flavour recipe to reflect the flavour we all now associate with the taste of banana.

I bought a Cranberries cd first day edition for just that purpose, but that wasn't much of an improvement if I'm totally honest  |
