"Wokingham is a nice place but The Station Tap pub, just outside the train station, is a right bloody dive and furthermore, stinks of piss. The best bit is not the actual fireworks themselves but the torchlit parade from the Town Centre to the Cantley Field, hundreds carrying flaming torches down the route, it’s quite a sight! "Nothing going on in Reading or Wokingham today/tonight? We are childfree." Nothing going on!? It’s only the goddam biggest night of the year for fans of seventeenth century Parliamentary and Monarchy insurrections! The annual torchlit parade from the town centre down to the Cantley Field starts at 6.15pm and the grand fireworks display starts at 7.30pm * (* assuming it’s still on after the adverse weather. Has anyone checked? ![]() | |||
