Straightener advice

Argh! I've use broken my straighteners, they've lasted me about 10 years, shows how often I use them lol but now I have no idea what is a good mid range choice to look for. I don't want to spend stupid money when I don't use them more than maybe a couple of times a month but they need to be up to the job.

Advice gratefully received x

I'm a ghd gal because I use them loads - but one of my friends has a set of Remington ones that are a silvery sort of colour and supposedly infused with argon oil or something, and those are decent.

I'm going to recommend ghds, I know they are an initial expense but I have had mine 15 years and they are still as good as new! They are amazing and well worth the money.

I saw those and wondered how they infuse ceramic/metal with oil lol

Hmmm... if you've had 3 pairs that would suggest they're not the best.

"GHD for me all day long, don't think I could live without them now "

I'm curious though... what exactly are you using them for?

GHDs here too... I have the fat plates at home and a set of little ones at work for energency nights out!

GHDs for me. If they can tame my mass of afro curls, they can handle anything. I also like the fact they don't singe my hair as some can.

Like to stroke? Or like you're going to scalp me?

I'd go with GHDs. My armpit hairs have never been straighter

I was erring more towards a Delilah sort of thing but I could settle for stroking.

What makes ghd so amazing?

I couldn't tell you the make of mine but they make my hair straight and they didn't cost the earth. ..

I bought mine when they in the sale at asos so weren't actually that expensive. I've tried all sorts in a bid to tame the mane and so far they are the only ones I have had any luck with. My hair actually looks smooth, I don't get arm ache in a bid to get there and they don't catch my hairs.

I think it depends on your hair type to be fair.

No idea. They didn't seem any different to normal ones to be honest
