"never broken one..
why would i change it?"
I have managed to break 3 at work..... But oddly none anywhere else in my 30 odd years of using one.
I don't periodically change mine as I clean it. If I was that worried about toilet germs I'd have to carry around a toilet seat to use everything I use a public loo or stay in a hotel. |

To my knowledge I've never broken a toilet seat and I've never changed one either. When I thought it was looking a bit scruffy, I moved house. Hope this helps |

Dont know whats up in our household. We go through 1 a year currently! Don't know if we have super size arses or the kids are shuffling about on it when they're using it, but the thing just snaps at the hinge! Totally comes off the loo! |

If we move house we change them all
Soft closer are the best
We also changed one recently as my daughter sat on it with her fake tan on and change it colour from pure white to off white and I hated it |

Same here, I am gonna have to go loo seat shopping at the weekend for the 2nd one this year. I have no idea what the kids do to them, but the hinges snap. Brought new seat and a pack of replacement hinges last time..... have managed to get through 3 hinges and the last is hanging on for dear life.
Would be cheaper to get new kids! |

I swap it with the one down stairs just to give myself something to do. "
