Lol could not think of a good title anyway to the reason u all wanted to read this if u have red this me and my gf wanted to know what people go for in other couples single men and females if its us we go for personality sense of humour and kind natured people we hate pushy folks so plz share what u look for  |

if i came across as hostile then i genuinely appologise, it was not meant as a personal attsck and reading back i can see how it could be interpreted that way
it is just a real bug bear of mine in general, maybe i shouldn't generalise in the forums but i just thought it was a place for discussion yet sometimes i guess this can be misconstrued as personal attacks for that i am sorry

Does grammer really matter i dont think it does a mean at end of day u aint going to b talking much or writing much when having fun are u and also its not peoples fault if they not good at grammer i myself am no good at grammer due to me being dislexic |

I really try hard not to do the grammar police thing but I have to say that it does bug me. I like people who can string a sentence and who can spell. It's not something I'd use as an excuse not to meet someone, but it would be a factor for me.
So shoot me, I like intelligence, I like conversation and I like proper sentences. Text speak and terrible spelling are in my list of not for me things. |

i may not use it but i am fully capable of using good grammer but yet i'm a typical thick blonde hairdresser type yet one of the most inteligent peeps i know (he has an amazing depth of knowledge and understanding of the world) wouldn't know good grammer if he tripped over it

I like exactly the same as you, i cant bare text speak. But people (and im not saying you) about correct grammar but seriously how many people actually know correct grammar. In fact im not even sure if true correct grammar is taught in schools. Every time i see someone complaining about grammar it makes me think we should all be typing like dickens. My spelling is shit, i make the effort in messages on the forums i dont. But does that make me any less intelligent than the next person. Maybe i take issue because my spelling is crap and i guess i do understand abou the really bad spelling but i think its the way some people word it makes it sound as though they wont meet them unless they have a english language degree |

Totally cool… in the grand scheme of things, it really doesn't matter and if you meet people at socials etc. then you wouldn't know whether they can spell or not but from spoken conversation you'd know if they were smart or not. Given that the majority of my swinging now comes from websites it is a factor. I wouldn't think badly of someone cause they can't spell or don't have good grammar, I just wouldn't spend a great deal of time taking it further than the first PM.
It's different when I get to know people from forums cause you do spend time getting to know people from there posts so then it doesn't seem such a big deal. First impressions by PM count though. I like when people pay attention, take their time and send a message that's deserving of a response as opposed to 'hi sexi how r u' sort it chat. I'm contrary, I don't deny it! |

The English Language is dyslexic more like. Take a bit of Celtic, Roman, Nordic, Pictish, Saxon, French and any other visising hoards, shake it all up and le voila, English. Grammar is just an analytical tool akin to maths and in terms of communication it is to some degree surplus to requirements. |
