I have three daughter's. One lives with me came and said "happy Mother's Day", gave me a lovely card and a gift box of my favourite perfume and body lotion. She cooked her own breakfast without offering me any before heading off to do her hair and nails.
My other daughter who's away at uni in Derby phoned to wish me a happy mother's day. Apparently they don't sell stamps in Derby so she couldn't post my card.
My eldest - well, no doubt she'll be spending the day with her fiance's STEP mother, as she hasn't bothered to send me a card or phone.
My own mother's dead - can't say I really miss her, but I acknowledged her unlike my ungrateful lot.
Humph!!!
Oooh, my daughter's boyfriend has just given me a card saying I'm like a mother to him and thanks for making him feel so welcome.
I should have had sons!!! |

people should appricate their parents all the time .unfortunatly as this is real life its not the case .so i say 59p for a card is a small price to pay so show your mums loved for the job they do 24/7 .dont even have to spend a penny if you dont want can make a card and do something thoughtful.
i think money making scam is alil harsh and jaded .i got a huge hug, kiss and smile off my daughter i couldnt want anything more x |

What a lovely sentiment xxx Mothering Sunday is a tradition thats been around longer than commercialism. Every hand made card, little bunch of daffs, burned slice of toast and cup of lukewarm tea up and down the country represents the true meaning of the day. |

I got woken up with a handmade card by my twin sons.
They wrote
Best friends forever mummy and us.
Gives us the best Cuddles.
And is the best cookist ever.
Brought tears to my eyes xxx

Well i spent the day with my son last saturday. We spent some lovely quality time together, the best was he never even looked like he was going to complain about going round all my shops lol. He bought me a blouse that i liked. Today he text me this morning and has now rang me. He posted my card friday but unfortunatly it hasnt arrived so will get it tomorrow.
I really dont understand people that says its a money making scam. Yes you could spend a fortune if you so wish. But all the mothers i know would be happy with a bunch of daffs and knowing that they are loved |

Up to now Ive had a a lovely day. Ive had my lunch cooked, my lounge hoovered. I had chocolates off my younger son and he grunted at me, which translated into happy mothers day. The eldest wrote a lovely message on his card, and bought me a gorgeous venetian mask, Im really thrilled with it |

I know how often I took you for granted
when I was growing up.
I always assumed you'd be there
when I needed you...
and you always were.
...But I never really thought about what that meant
till I got older and began to realize
how often your time and energy were devoted to me.
so now, for all the times I didn't say it before,
thank you, Mom...I love you so much xx
i wish i could have said those words to my lovely mom today |

"I'm the mother!"
"No, I'm the mother."
"No! I am!"
"I want to be the mother."
"Listen you cunt! Without me you're a fucking penniless nobody, remember that. Now then. Who's the mother?"
"You are Elton." |

Moaned earlier that my eldest hadn't phoned, she's in bed sick: alone! Spent day cheering her up, talking to my youngest, and my sister who's off tomorrow to Brazil for two months to adopt a little girl.
A lovely day. |
