hi everyone
in our real lives we are both semi pro photographers
and have been asked on occasion to do photo shoots for people in the scene
for there own collections as gifts for a partner profiles all sorts
dose anyone hear think there is a market for this sort of service
no website or numbers as this is fact finding not a advert
we know there are a few company's specialising in more personal portoriature mainly for women
all thoughts welcome |

i have lots of examples on a website but cant post it hear as it would appear commercial
all the work till now has been of a less personal nature but its a direction i may expand into
as its a new direction and i want to build up a portfolio i can negotiate on free if the images can be used in my portfolio

I have to say just from my own point of view we prefer to take our own as such... We do know for a fact though many couples enjoy having some taken of them too.. and we have obliged them now and then. (Mmmmm) Never gave it a second thought to charge as we by that time consider them friends... and its just part of the fun.

thats roughly what i thought most people would say
i was hoping thats a combination of most people have never considered it
or that they would not be happy with the costs or of going to a high street photographic company
so i could offer a more personal shoot in any location but still with that pr0 edge |

someone did sudgest to me a afternoon or evening for people to come along and for a shoot
with the images made available to them later
no costs for the shoot of course
and no plan to fleece them on prints if they wanted them like some high street places do
and no hard sell as i am no sales man |

I think the trust issue may be more of a problem.
I would never get any naughty photos taken by anyone else but a very trusted friend or hubby.
Just imagine....'professional' says they have destroyed the negatives.... they don't. They can sell them or their office gets broken into. Negs go up on the web or within publications or dvds.
Either than or you would have to find a way of proving (somehow) that you have deleted the negatives (if digital), or destroyed the negatives (ordinary) of the pictures! |

trust would seem to be the key
this is true in most photography too
in a normal world of photography contracts are done to protect un licenced publication and use by all people concerned

HI
There is someone doing this on another site but they are based in the west and have a studio.
Personally as a former pro photographer myself i reckon part of the fun is taking them yourselves..with decent cameras becoming cheaper people can take loads of high quality pics at no cost ...even with low visual literacy eventually you get good ones lol
.... of course with photoshop you can make most things look good too ....
if you go for it i hope it all works out good luck

we love taking pics but I would love some really sexy ones of us both ...you know soft lighting, airbrushing,body doubles that sort of thing lol
Trouble is if I put them on my profile the "real thing" would scare everyone away!
Id get done by trading standards lol |

On another site I am on which shall remain nameless there are hundreds of people advertising such a service, the website allows free advertising for swingers in a special section, everything is advertised there from lawyers to plumbers and hundreds of photographers, I always judge a swinging photographer by thier own profile pics, sorry the OP doesnt exactly have pics that stir my imagination here

though most of out work is not of us
and i wouldent put photos of other people up
