When i was 21 someone said to me, make the most of your time now as the years will just fly and how true it is. When we where kids it seemed like you only had a birthday every ten years now it seems like every few months |

Easter is celebrated on the Sunday following the first full moon that occurred after the Spring Equinox so as the lunar cycle is different to the year cycle it changed every year. See it's all down to those LUNAtics It always occurs between March 22nd and April 25th in any given year though.
I like Easter celebrations more than Christmas if I'm honest - feels more spiritual to me. Rebirth and all that.

"Ive never known pancake day to be in march before, and not started to buy christmas pressies yet just in case they move that yet "
it's cos it's part of the moveable celebrations towards Easter. I think it's a last minute stuff-yourself day before lent (fasting and abstinence) not much chance o that on here tho! |

Shrove Tusday (pancake day) is never after 9th March in any given year so it is more likely to be in february (see earlier post re full moons determining when easter is) Mothering Sunday is always the fourth sunday in Lent. Lent is 40 days before easter. |
