Have you seen this new feature. Not sure how long its been there but ive only just spotted it.
Im going to give thumbs up to any single guy with a decent profile and a thumbs down to all the idiotic one line messages i receive |

Looks good but how can we see the results,or if we can't,who can? Do the profile owners know they've been given a thumbs up/down or what,or is a tally shown next to the thumbs?

This totally sucks!
So now if you don't reply or don't want to meet someone or they don't agree with your swinging rules or even if they just don't like the look of you they can just diss you by down thumbing you. And like cowards hide behind the site knowing they will never have to face the people they slated.

Bad Idea! Sorry but we do not want to be judged like this, be it with thumbs up or thumbs down or stars or any kind of rating sytems. This will get too personal very quickly. If it was optional then we would turn it off as soon as we could. |

This is silly ...... means every guy/cpl you turned down because they dont fit your profile can give you a thumbs down..... But no one knows why they gave you a thumbs down
I turn down most guys that mail me because they are too far, too young or aint read profile ..... & i am sure that others get same .......... so lots of us will have about a 100 thumbs down this month!! |

Well, I think its a good idea in princable.
BUT is open to abuse at this stage.
Maybe if someone gives too many ups or downs they could be penalised in someway? This might stop it being overly abused.
After all, the system is being tried to reward and punish exceptional members (or scumbags) - not just people who are your friends etc. They might be the sexiest people on the planet - but does their profile/pics show that? Etc, etc.
Its a good idea, but at the moment relies on everybody not being petty and small minded... so is doomed to fail.
Harsh, but true.

It seems pretty obvious to me - remove the thumbss down option.
With only a thumbs up option the site will be promoting a positive aspect and not a negative one. Those who would have used a thumbs down vote will not use a thumbs up one in its place will they.

Mmm well I'm not too happy about it...
Because apparently I have been given 5 thumbs down, I have been called before the Grand Poobha Council of Fabs in Cockermouth in Cumbria on Friday.
I have been warned that if I cannot explain why 5 people felt it right to thumb me in a downward fashion, I will be expelled from Fabs forthwith.

^^^ You cant see how many you have as this has not been enabled yet, when it is you will only be able to view the thumbs up you have recieved but not the thumbs down, only admin can see these, so we have to wonder what the whole point of these are? |

What a stupid system....... open for abuse......and what happens to those couples who don't want single men? If said single men take exception and give them thumbs down.

so ...someone who gets there kit off and does a sex show on cam gets god knows how many thumbs up every night from single guys ...anyone who does not engage in that gets very few, maybe the odd one or two for being "nice" or supportive ...
So a thumbs up to ascertain who is helpful to someone is never ever going to match the amount of thumbs up from people who get it on on cam purely because they have a much wider audience ...are you using a weighting system on whatever your going to use the information for .. because otherwise it seems discriminatory?

In a community that we always describe as non judgemental we are struggling to see any benefit of a point scoring system.
Can anyone suggest one benefit of the thumb system ?
As has already been said we get a lot of unwanted mails and have already had our share of unhappy/bitter rejects, and all we can see happening is a bunch of thumbs down as we are so selective. Not nice to think about and something that we don't like the idea of at all.
Happy to be persuaded otherwise, but spent a while trying to find some pro's |

I do hope that site owners are are taking note of the fact that everyone on here has so far berated the thumbs feature.........
I got banned from another site when the site admin read my whispers (meant to be private between myself and one other).... lets hope nothing like that happens on here. |

We've noted all the feedback, appreciated.
As we've said on the thumbs page this is an experimental feature so we'll play and evaluate for a little while and if it has no net benefit, we'll not run with it. |

any couple who have photo's of them BOTH and have verified themselves will get a thumbs up (same goes for guys who have made an effort). Anyone who has a pathetic profile - mails or winks us with stupid one liners will get a 100% thumbs down and blocked lol).
There really is no excuse for not verifying yourself or having a profile that attracts others - this is a free site and without question the owners are doing a tremendous job in trying to get it right (well done by the way). |

mmmm not sure what to make of this lol.. At silly o'clock this am a guy came into chat asked jim and i did we have a cam, when we said yes but we dont do c2c. the bloke in question could have quite easily given us a "thumbs down" just because we refused to cam with him. and again we dont meet single males. always polite and message back saying thanks but please read the profile , we dont meet single males. Whats to stop them giving the "thumbs down" then that makes us look like "iffy" people lol. |
