chucking it down here in Aberdeen and its set to continue into next week, should make driving a great experience as most drivers seem to panic when they see the white stuff |

I drove from Beds to Newcastle this evening and didn't see so much as a snowflake. It was a perfect drive. As soon as we got to the Angel of the North there was snow everywhere and an hour after arriving home it was a blizzard out there. There's now 12" of snow on the ground.
If I'd listened to the Met Office and stayed down south I'd now be 'snowed out' instead of 'snowed in' at home with my lovely wife and two kids lol
Talk about timing!! |

Just looked out the bedroom window and the _iew of the surrounding mountains is a sight to be seen. Absolutely beautiful. |

Just a bit of snow here, just enough to cover cars and pavements but the road is clear. I'm so glad I'm not working today though as where I work I would be used as target practice for snowballs! Could be worse on bonfire night they use me as target practice for fireworks
must be the hi-vis I have to wear lol! |

Blizzard conditions here....and my eldest son is driving in it, my heart is in my mouth.
I was outside with him ticking off the list of things he had to take with him....including my tomtom and a flask of coffee..... and strict instructions to text me when he gets to his destination. |

We had snow saturday morning. Kids loved it but also scuppered my plans for sat eve as was off to cambridge for a club meet. But travelling for me and my friend wasnt safe so we cancelled. Safety is paramount.
Off into town for the xmas light switch on.
Will be strange going with no kids tho lol |

Just walked to the local coop... 1/2 mile away. Had to walk on the road as the pavements are approx 24 inches of piled up hardened snow from the cleared roads..
covered in slush from head to toe as the cars flew past..
got to the coop....... well it was like a scene akin to the mercy aid missions.
a milk van had arrived minutes before me.. the man was nearly ripped from limb to limb.
the manageress is an old school chum and she said she has had to eject about 6 people this morning for lets say 'behavioural challenges' as there was no bread..
back home with fresh rolls, milk and my arms, legs and head still attached to my torso... so win win me says.

I did a 2.5 hour walk across the countryside this afters (yes we do have some round here) and it was just magical. Love it!
Don't like the dirty sludge that the cars all splash on me though. |
