Resons you left others swing sites?

No need for names of sites just like to know some of the resons why you left? I know costs and stuff some people hate paying alot. We are on 4 sites Just been on one over 6 years and its nothing like it was and now just make me feel sad really .. not happy like i am here ..find people very open here and not controling and so far not clicky. jo xx |

Our profile is still on a few sites, but this is (strangely enough) the only one we pay for!
One reason is that we advertise as a couple and have individual profiles. It was bloody expensive in the last site to do that, £40 odd for a couple and £60 for a single guy profile, and the single guy profile didn't have access to the swingdate feature for advertising for a short notice meet (most of you will get the site from that)! It just rankled a bit that to comply with the rules - couples shouldn't contact people as singles - we were getting ripped off.
Another site we looked at looked great, but again was really quite expensive. I suppose we are looking a bit cheap now, but this is an occasional hobby for us, not a lifestyle, and sadly we've not won the lottery.. 
There are good and bad things about all the different sites, I guess it just comes down to a matter of personal preference. |

We came to this site as part of a mass exodus from another one.
We all left because of the Draconian measurements taken by the owners due to one or two over sensitive whingers on the forums.
Best move we made,they did us all a favour,lol.

I left because of the cost. I had a great time there but having an equally good time here for nothing!
I'm also on several adult sites which are free but the men are seriously weird and have issues I don't care to be bothered with. |

we are on a cpl of other sites too one paid and the other free but only becauce we were members before it was bought by the current owners who now charge for membership to the site.we nip in to both sites once in a blue moon but they have seriously gone downhill in the last yr or so. the site we pay for is nothing like it was when we first joined and i think most of the regular members are now on here.both sites are owned by the same ppl.we like it here so will be staying  |

One site I left as meeting was damn near impossible - even after a few socials and people expressed interest in "meeting for a drink" but with no intention to take things further as they all seemingly preferred "the social side" (doesn't anyone play? I began to wonder)
The only person interested in meeting to play was a couple that couldn't accomodate, wouldn't travel to me (in London at the time) but preferred to meet at a club (so they could travel afterall) but when we do meet it would only be soft play (ie, I wasn't allowed to shag her)... and I was expected to be grateful.
After a year of the same I quietly took down my profile, no goodbye's nothing. |

I was on a couple of paid sites when i was apart of a couple. Since being single i have been only on here. I love this site. Lots of nice peeps on here. Its nice having people that are local to me. On one of the paid sites the nearest couple was over 70miles away. Not so good when your a single fem....  |

Increase in costs; site quiet and dying; and on one, although free, the owner contacted all the members to ask for donations to pay the medical bills of his/her cousin who had been widowed in a car accident. Just didn't seem right. |

Almost forgot to add:
One of the sites I was a regular on make a number of interesting operating points:
1) The cost of membership for guys is higher than females' and couples' ... something about limiting the number of single guys so they don't get inundated.
2) Single guys can't leave each other verifications - not even socially (and that includes a gay male seeking only gay males and having met them, neither can verify the other) - the site's argument? "Its to stop single males creating fake profiles to verify themselves" (PS: Only fully paid members can send verifications)... why would anyone in their right mind pay 2 account memberships for the purpose of verifying both profiles int he hope of fooling the entire site community?
3) The site holds "official site socials" (not like group socials like on Fab) however makes a point of holding them at a venue on a day where single males are not permitted at the venue.
Imagine the "official Fabswigners socials, now to hold at Chams on Saturday nights"... automatically excluding the single guys (the same single guys who pay higher membership to meet the site's operating costs), when I asked about this (ie, why not same venue but different night to welcome all?) I was told "That's the venue's rules" ("So why not a different venue?" I wondered.. but no answer was received).
When I asked about this on the forums, one of the site's regular members/faces responded "If you don't like it why not go to a site that suits your needs?" Lol. |

Yes i think your right. Some of the sites thay just chat and meet like Vanilla friends never have alot of sex and happy With just doing that. I know it takes all sorts on sites like this ..But some you would never think your in a sex ... swingers site. |

Mad wow, am wondering if it was the site I think I knew you from.
I was on my original site and on there for a few years but money was a major problem for me, so left the site. I loved it really and was well known in the chat room.
Come to this site and never really used the chat rooms at all but now love the site x |

I think most of the posters on here have hit the nail on the head , been on a couple of other sites , very cliquey , especailly in the chatrooms and the costs were ridiculous especially for single guys.
But love this site , really friendly , in general and not cliquey in any way. |

I`m still quite a newbie here.
I too was a member of a well known free site that got sold to a company that makes new people pay. I left because I didn`t like the attitude of the incoming Admin.
I am a member of two other sites, one started up more or less as a result of the change of ownership of the other site. Because I`ve been there from the start and I`ve known the core of the membership for longer, it`s like going to my village pub. I`ll probably not get any meets from new people there, but it`s my home from home.
The other site is barely a year old, but I`m leaving there because it`s not a good site at all. Admin has a bigger ego than the person will ever be, members openly abused on the forum, poorly organised socials etc. If your face doesn`t fit .....
So, it`s my homesite and here from now on! |

Was on another Swinging site, and met a few great women. As a long time member I was given free membership when it went commercial. I think that's where the rot set in...
I still visit, from time to time, and it's still populated by the same trapped souls, mournfully floating around in an endless limbo...... |

we were on another site but one of the owners died and it was never the same after that so we left
then we joined a sort of local site - but some one nudged us in this direction and we have been happy to stay here ever since |

i do find this site quite bizarre.being rejected by ladies who in ,normal,day to day life,u wouldnt look twice at!!yet the gorgeous ones on this site seem easy to meet.odd!! |

on a more serious note i have said no before to lush people on the basis that i couldnt really believe why someone so different to me would want to meet - perhaps you have just bumped into good old fashioned confidence thing |

am on two free sites from which i get the best results and the people are friendlier,more down to earth and just bloody nicer . one paid for site which was good but has gone downhill drastically and wont be renewing my membership to. and am on another site which now charges but my membership is free for life coz i was an original member which is now virtualy a social site where people just chat. |

This site is so easy to navigate and allows features like "who has looked at me" PLUS the forums and many more. It attracts a brilliant variety of people, somebody for everybody ...it has been a source of great fun and well... we look forward to meeting plenty more xx"
When we first ventured into swinging we signed up for a couple of other sites but never use them. As you so rightly say this one is easy to use and friendly and we get all the meets we need on here. |

We went on three others sites, when first started to swing. given to us by people at our local swing club.
But two of them where so hard to us. As we where new did not want to pay to join until we had found our feet.(One we still on but its a local site and very quite. Plus We decided not to have pictures all around the internet.
Also on the local swingers site, the is no delete profile button. Hence we not dded photos and the messageswe get are few and far between. We normally point to this site.

I (Wishy) have been on a few sites and one in particular banned me for having a pop at the mod who shagged my then partner behind my back. That boiled over into an all out flame war involving many more people which led to a split and 3 splinter sites being set up - of which I was banned from them all (and still am). Needless to say, I arrived here a couple of years ago and peace has reigned supreme since then and I now regard this place as my 'swinging home'.
As for the other sites?
They did me a favour tbh. No regrets. |

I've been on a few sites, but just can't get my head round the fact that someone with a single man profile gets fleeced and asked to pay through the nose for everything. I had a full years paid membership on a site where you can find friends (if you take my meaning) and it wasn't too bad, had a few results, until the membership run out. Luckily one of the ladies i met on there pointed me in the direction of this site and i've no looked back. |

so been debating whether to write in this thread or not...
I sneek "across the road" every so often to the other site i was at, and I still have a ton of friends that if it wasn't for them I wouldn't have today, and they have seen me thru some times good and bad...
but for me the ethos of the site changed with the ownership...it became louder and shoutier and those with the loudest voices reigned.... and the site changed..... and it didn't feel like home for me anymore...
so rather than make a big song and dance i decided to slowly move away gracefully.... and I found somewhere I do feel a lot more comfortable
I know a lot of people who use both sites, I am happier here and spend my "swinging" time here...... |

for us........the scene on here in scotland is really big compared to other sites..........lot of site seems to be mainly english based.....scotland scene on here seems to be busy. |

I was on another one originally and I found it was more about chat rooms than meeting so moved here, was in both for a while but just got bored of the other one so left. In saying that, I still chat in other chat rooms (not necessarily swinging ones) because I love chat rooms so much. I find in the other chats I go in, I can be myself more, the only thing I find with the rooms in here is that I have to bite my tongue a lot when people are cheeky -- in the other ones because it's not necessarily about meeting, people don't get huffed if you're busy etc so that's why I jump about. It makes for less pressure and keeps some sort of a balance. But everyone has their own ways of doing things and I'm just glad I found a way that works for me -- finally!

I was banned for life from 1 site, am still a member of another site, which in fairness is more Forum based, which isn't my thing really...
I loved the London Chatroom here and felt very much at home in there, until a poisonous White Wine from the past crept in under the guise of a stocking clad friendly sort, and started to annoy me again.
Now I kinda keep myself to the mailing system! 
I like here, but i must admit to wondering if there's about to be an *announcement* anytime soon that here is going to be pay for all.
Being the tight arse Jockney that I am I just don't think I'd ever want to pay perminantly a site like this... I dunno, I'm starting to think and thats never a good thing at such an early hour LoL

we're only on this site now. We were on SH and LS, and had good fun there, but most of our friends are on here too, so we left both sites.
We meet most of our "new" friends these days at parties and clubs, so we don't really need to be on any site, but I, Jack, love the forums, and Fab forums are the best I've experienced |

Jo we know exactly which site you mean and very glad we left it a few years ago - gone back recently and it is just as clicky as ever - much prefer this to any other site we have ever been on far more honest - not pretentious and tends to have realistic pics not old people with photoshopped pictures from 10 years ago or people trying to dominate a chatroom. |

Been on a few others mostly fun but no real action. 2 cases in particular.
One had a ?sensible? annual fee. The other offered year's registration: fine for a year and then offered a lifetime's registration but it lapsed as soon as you didn't pay a monthly amount.
It's the only 2 times I paid for sex...ok.. get my drift?
I did run my own contact site for a few years and made some good and sexy friends doing so but it got too much like hard work. |

We've been on SF for ages, had barely a sniff; been on Fab for the same amount of time (with exactly the same profile) and had loads of interest.
Secondly, we had a trial membership on SDC but found it very unfriendly and snobby.
So Fab it is for us then- and AbFabs on a Saturday night |

I have been on this site for just over a week and really like it. I find it quite open compared to one I have been on before.
The chat rooms maynot be so good, but again people are more willing to talk to you on here and get to know you.
After just a week on here I am happy to say that I have a nice playdate arranged with a couple for Friday night.
