Over 40, not dead!

Why is being over 40 such a stigma? Been on fab a while now. both as a couple and now on my own. Just wondering why being over 40 years of age makes such a difference to some people. I'ts not like your bits stop working once you reach the magic number. You deffinately don't lose the urges. So why do some people (usually women) see age as such a problem? When did experience become a bad thing? ...x |

There are plenty of over 40s on here who are very active and in demand.
As A had mentioned, a lot of it is down to attitude and how you present yourself.
Without going into specific details, your profile does not appeal to me, and if you send me a message, no matter how well composed, I would respond a "No thanks!".

Like the old saying. 'Life begins at forty.' It did for me. Think it has been the case for a lot of people. Not really noticed any age issues from others at all.
Sometimes I think that when we hit that magic 40, our kids are more self sufficient, we aren't as tired as we were when they were younger and we want to get back a little of what we had before the kids. |

you get out of this lifestyle what you are willing to put into it.
a little effort and thought on the profile, composed and with correct spelling, decent pics works wonders.
i have a busy time on here and im well past the 40 mark
i intend to keep going on having fun with the excellent people i do meet and those that i am about to meet

it isnt exactly about the number for alot of people they can sometimes just think that the mojoraty of 40 plus doesnt click with thier personality.
or it could be that they feel thats when the looks really begin to decline etc

There are lots of profiles who state an upper age limit of 40.
There are lots of profiles who state a lower age limit of 40.
So, don't see it as a limited choice - see it as a whole new playground.
(As an aside, I don't think many people ask to see ID in clubs, so if you can pass for under 40, that might be a route to go down) |

I'm a few years older than you and I have to say I haven't found my age to be a problem at all.. I get plenty of rejections of course (!) but I've never had anyone say it's down to my age.. of course I may just be not remembering, because of my age
I know you weren't posting to request critiques of your profile, but maybe it needs a bit more in it - it comes across to me rather like you've not put much effort into 'selling yourself' - hope you don't mind me saying so!

people will always find something to moan about... whether that is too old, or too young, or too fat, or too thin, or too black, or too white, or too short, or too tall....
people will think to themselves and focus on thats the reason why they are not getting meets....
but like others have said, you get out what you put in, and your profile in your little shop corner... and to be honest it doesn't feel like a lot of effort has gone into it...
I ask people this question, with the thousands of adds out there how does your stick out?
and with the thousands of ads out there, hand on heart now, would you honestly answer your own advert??? |

I was 50 befor I even started playing on here, and I don't think I've done too bad

I would also say put some effort into your profile as it show sever lack of effort and wouldnt interts me purely because of that. The age bit and photos would be next on my interest list.
Your profile is your shop window.
Yours lacks effort. Put some into it and then you may find you get more interest x |

DON'T go there! I'm 50 in a couple of weeks and already thinking I'll awake with snow white hair, chin hair and wrinkles!
NOW I have to worry about my bits dropping off?!!
To the OP: I take it the ladies YOU like have a preference for younger men and you feel slighted? Damn personal preferences!

Well i have to admit to having done the "younger" fella and now got the tshirt.
These days i prefer the more mature type (35 to 50) but this isnt set in stone.
I just feel that an older guy has more patience and a better understanding of women in general than the younger ones but this is only my opinion and no doubt others will think differently.
But i still lurve....looking at the magnificent torsos of those younger guys...sometimes on show in the pic gallery

Who cares about the age its purely a number, as long as you have fun and get on who really cares!
It always makes me chuckle when someone says i am too young it would be like shagging their son, er firstly that's called incest and how would they know shagging me is like shagging their son? Have they shagged their son?
