In the 7 years I've had iPhones, I've never once had a problem with either the device or iTunes. Ok so my pc is ultra-secure, and I'm reasonably savvy when it comes to updates etc (I.e. wait a month for the bugs to be sorted before taking the plunge), so my vote goes for the iPhone.
My mate has a samsung s4 and he too never has any problems...

what you using your phone for?
if you like having everything in folders then samsung will be better, probably will have a better battery as well.
iphones alright for messaging and will be cheaper to repair if you like keeping phones for a long time. easy to download apps as well. |

After having Samsung for years and getting a Sony I think I prefer Sony. Only downside is the amazing batterry life it's supposed to have isn't all that amazing. I can just about get a full day out of it. |

I have the xperia z1 compact and get 2 days out of it - with pretty heavy use - most days I spend an hour chatting on the phone, numerous texts and whatsapp etc, and facebook on there as well... check your apps that are open, and switch on the battery optimising apps too. |

It all depends on your personal requirements. They're all good phones, all have pros and cons but that's only based on a single persons perspective. Being iPhone 4 user, I've never seen the need to upgrade and thus far, I've not been let down. However, the Android OS has started to blip on my radar since it produced better performance results on a recent test we did.
In a nutshell, test them for yourself and make your own decision. -Mr. |

Samsung suits me best....even the universal charging lead is useful as when I run low at work (usually from spending too much time on here!), I ask around for a charger to plug into a computer and someone has one that fits. |

Personally I like the iPhone , take mine to work and everywhere else
Asking as you put a decent cover on them they should last
One drawback is everything is in App Store which can be a tad annoying |
