I know someone lurking about and nervous to post their first post or reply, I'll not name them as that would be unfair but I'm guessing there are quite a few others as well.
Well heres a nice and easy way to lose your Forum Virginity.
How long have you been on the site ?

For us it is around two years now.

Think everyone is different we were here about a week when I start posting wait on the other hand didn't post till about 3 months ago and even now he doesn't post that often |

I put a note at the top of our profile to say:
"you will often find us in the forums" in the hope of reminding people who don't use them that they are here"
Lot's of people view our profile (and never get in touch grrrr stamps feet but not so many use the forums or ever even look at them, I think it would be great if more people used them.

been on the site for alomost 2 years and occasionally posting for 18 months.
Best thing I ever did was starting going to the socials...found out that a lot of the people I found a bit daunting on here and really funny/kind/generous/sexy people....even some of the ones I've had run ins with ...and over the past few months have met some people who use the chat rooms too......and so ventured in there again (having fled in terror the first time I tried) and am now really enjoying the chat rooms as well.
I don't believe any of the people I have met are any different than they ever were....it's just that my perception of them has changed.
To the noobies...come on in...give it a chance.....only a few people bite....a hellofa lot more will smile and be friendly |

I've been on fab 2 years and been using the forums for 18 months.
Found the forums daunting at first, had one or two run ins with different people, learned that you are not gonna agree with everyone or they agree with you.
Socials are great, in more ways than one. Shiney happy people lol

Been on here nearly three years, forums are just like any other people, some your going to love, some your going to dislike.
What does surprise me is the number of people that read the forums and dont post. I think about a third of my "sensible" mail comes from someone who has read something in the forums
What i do know is ive made some fabulous friends on here |

We have been on fab for 4 months now, we did have an account before christmas for about 2 months but we deleted that one.
This is the third time we have posted on the forum, we tend to read them but never reply, so feeling brave today |

I can only echo what has been said in the quoted post about going to socials as a way of getting youself known better. Best thing I ever did! Yes, it took all of my nerve to make that giant leap of opening the pub door and walking in, but if I can do it .....
Now I`ve only been on here for 5 months although I`ve been on various sites for some 5 years, some of you may be aware of my nose diving tractor avatar I use on other sites, sadly not permitted here  |
