Sad fact im afraid even some shop assistants cant be bothered to say please and thank you anymore
A lot of People are in too much of a rush and too preoccupied with life now to bother about others watch adverts on telly they are the same no manners and at the end of the day Monkey see monkey do

this thread reminds of some womens institude meeting lamenting the loss of a bygone age ...whether right or wrong we have to adapt,and sunday tea with the vicar is no longer an option when your trying to cram as much into a short life . sad innit. |

I concur that manners are a thing of the past for many, though this gentleman is still going strong.
I always stand to attention when a lady enters the room.
I always hold open the door to allow her to enter and leave.
I always allow her to wriggle free if so desired.
Manners go a long way in this game x

It takes nothing out of your day to thank someone, Treat others how you would like to be treated!! I always hold the door open for the next person and if they don't thank me I smile and say
" thank you *** that was really nice of you to hold the door open for me"  , it makes me smile and hopefully that person will think why they didn't say thank you... And if it goes over their head then it makes me feel better lol.
As for swinging it works that way too doesn't take a second to say no thank you if they have taken time to actually read your profile..

well thankyou everyone for the response,
i am so glad that there is still some people with good manners and not rude. just a shame the reason for my rant was due to a rude individual who obviously cant handle drink. lol
