Since being made redundant in April, the last few months have been extremely difficult trying to find employment, success at last, following a second interview, I received written confirmation yesterday I've secured employment, yippee diddle dee!!!!!
Prior to being made redundant, I had no idea how sole destroying trying to find employment would be, having gone through the experience, I trust I never have to face it again, the hardest part was remaining focused & positive, as some will know, one is very lucky to even receive an acknowledgement to an application, so, to have been selected for a second interview, then be offered the position, the employment offer was a desperately needed confidence booster.
I trust my thread will give those in a similar position confidence that the right door will open at the right time. |

Great news, we're so pleased for you, after similar experiences we know how tough it can be, and how great the feeling is when the rough tide turns.
Congratulations. |

I know how you feel. Was made redundant last Sep and even though applied for literally hundreds of jobs, it took until Mar to even get a part time job. Then lo and behold was offered 3 full time jobs within a week. Starting full time again on Tuesday and can't wait to get back into the swing of things. |

well done fella
i lost my job last december but I dont miss it
I read an amazing book 'rich dad, poor dad' a while back and it changed my complete outlook about this whole addiction to a system which just gets us to chase the cheese in the rat race maze
im seriously looking at some long term self sustainable options
I'm broke, no money, I've lost the stress and worry of working to tight deadlines and the status anxiety... I've never been happier

Congratulations - I was out of work for just over two years, tried to get things going on my own but ended up costing me literally £1000's in debts, got a job last October, all the perks I had before but more than anything got my self esteem back.
Best of luck hope it all works out for you. |
