Mine is a vauxhall vectra, which I know is a "rep's car" but it was free as part of redundancy package from work and I love it. It's comfortable, reliable and pretty fast when it needs to be.
He has a Smart Car, the forfour model, which again is a great, reliable little car. Fantastic for getting across town to work, or taking the dogs out in (the back seats fold up and give it loads of extra room in the back) which is about all it's used for.
I will have a new (company) car next week when I start my new job, but no idea what until start.

Hmmm . . .where to start
Between 5 of us in this family we have a Vauxhall Insignia (estate), a Volvo C30, a Mitsubishi Warrior, a VW fox, a 1964 Mini and a Frankia Motorhome.
We can just about find a vehicle for every eventuality.

Three Land Rovers in various states of dis-repair! In the back of the drive there`s a 1967 sERIES IIa that`s half way through having a Rover SDI Vanden Plas V8 put in it! In front of that there`s an ex-MOD Range Rover of 1982 vintage. Both of these are currently long term non-runners.
Currently, I`m driving a 1995 Discovery ES with 170,000 miles on the clock! |

On the drive at the moment are
BMW 320d Edition 2008 (Going out car)
Jag X-Type Sport Estate 2005 (30000+ miles per year car)
BMW M5 (sons car!) 1995 Hand Built (One of 50 and checked genuine)
If I could have my dream car.... Take too long to choose because I am not interested in so called "Supercars".. Would never spend thousands on a car to alter it from standard spec.. I'd buy the correct car in the first place!
Think I would settle for a new 5 series while I made up my mind |

You really had to go all that way up the thread just to see that we have a BMW? As for boring... Your opinion and I respect that. BUT... Just cos a car does exactly what it should do, when it should do it and very well I might add. That doesn't make it boring!

Yep! A massive success story because they hold their price and reasonably quick (Stated 0-62 7.8seconds) and I still get over 50 mpg!
Along with that, the carbon footprint is less than a Prius from manufacture to scrapping. (Mainly due to the batteries that may need replacing every three to four years and that the BMW will on average last 50% longer)
Sports car? No. But boring, certainly not! |

Lol they are as boring as the old rover 75. My dad's age group buy them and every other rep does. Value is no different when you take out the factor BMW have not discounted prices in the past. As for performance figures. Why quote diesel mpg and m3 acceleration. Still boring boring boring lol |

The IS200 is the first rear wheel car I've had... it's great fun driving it
I think Japanese cars the best in the world. If my numbers come up on the Euro Millions then I'll be buying the Lexus LFA

the only reson to get one of these is if you travel in london alot, no charge, other than that dont bother, they are expensive to buy, costly to the enviroment to produce and worse to scrap and really arnt any better on fuel than a normal car |

Errr.. That was diesel consumption and 2008 320D acceleration! As for value, take out nothing! Just go by second hand sales after 3 years and you will see the difference!

"sounds like we can have a fab swingers 1/4 mile drag strip day at elvington or santa pod "
Pity you didn't get here for the Powerfest we had last weekend. I did post it on here but it went off the bottom in a flash! lol
It was in conjunction with Santa Pod and loads of very fast and very strange cars attended.
Take a look at U tube and search for powerfest.. was a great day out |
