Try www.fairygothmother.com online

Or nearer to home Cathouse in Liversedge, www.cathouseclothing.com

Hope that helps.

Have used both in the past, both very good.

Fairygodmother is more mainstream, Cathouse more fetish.

The fairygodmother things are decent quality and do hold you in without seems slipping but they aren't the most daring. They are a good all round choice though as i have a couple from there my self.

You could try Vollers - good quality, well boned, have a modesty panel and are taped inside to stop them stretching.

For quality, you can't beat Voller corsets. However, quality comes at a price too!

You can find them at fairygothmother dot com, or via the Voller's own site.

If you are looking for bargains, then try corsets - uk dot com. They have 3 for 2 offer at the mo, and their corsets are cheap compared with Vollers. However, they are made in Asia and not in the UK.

Personally, I would advise getting corsets with steel bones instead of plastic ones, as the former can hold one in better and gives an instant 4in waist reduction!

Depending on "squiggibility" (whatever is the correct spelling, if such a word exists, however, I hope you get my drift), you could go more than 4in below your natural waist size.

Allegedly, the plummer the lady, the more squiggible they are.

I advise reading up as much as you can before getting a steel bone corset, as even the cheaper ones are quite costly.

As for doing it up, I was advised by a corset maker that, if one does not wear a corset all the time, instead of tightening up the corset in one go, one should lace up the corset slightly looser first for at least 30min or more in order to allow the body to adjust, before tightening up to the desired tightness.

This way you are less likely to feel too uncomfortable.

Wearing a steel bone corset has its disadvantages - one cannot bend down so easily. It would be advisible to practice wearing the corset in the comfort of your own home, in order to get used to it first.

However, they do give you an hourglass shape that nothing else can achieve instantly! And they make you sit up straight! Magic!!!

Hope this helps! And yes, I love wearing corsets!

I bought a couple of white basques from Ann Summers, they were not exactly cheap but felt reasonably comfortable.

Agree with what you are saying about the bones - they make you sit straight and are not the most comfortable - so it is a choice for the evening between food or good looks

I do not believe Madchick suggested the pic was a fake. I believe she implied the OP was way too harsh about herself.

I adore corsets and have bought some fab ones from ebay

If you are quite busty and suffer with boob drop with plastic bones then why not try a waspie that fits under the bust and you can then wear a gorgeous bra with it?

I have some of those and I love em
