Social in Sherringham sounds good to us - can we invite the Shanty men too? |

"tell him its the quickest way to destroy his business"
Kev and Kats pub seems to do ok. Like all business opportunities, there is a risk, but it can be minimised with a little strageic planning. |

nevertheless they are moving
so maybe its not gone as well as can be expected if they are having to sell up
or is that too obvious to point out |

"The pub is dead during the winter period"
Numerous nightclubs around the UK used to do “Gay” nights during the week when business was quiet, from our observations, these type of events never really took off, as the “gay” clientèle didn't like being used in that manner, therefore, they remained loyal to the venues they felt comfortable in. |

just to clarify we are moving because the pub company are selling the building we tenant the socials have been a great success but we only do them every 6/8 weeks and they were not arranged to supplement the pub they were organized so we could enjoy a social as we were unable to attend ones organised by others as we were always working ie if the mountain ect

Used to goto sheringham alot when lived that way could do with livening up a bit lol. Many pubs are used for social meets for more a bit more shocking to some than swinging.Tend to be allocated a quieter area so the others can just wonder .. or tempted.. Not been to loads but think the idea is if its not a "clicky" pub it will benefit,or on a school night ... hey that could be a theme for the 1st night lol. |

This is an open forum where people can air there opinion, BUT i fail to see how someone can make a personal comment towards someone and there business when they know feck all about it, when they have never met us OR been to our pub, so they have no facts, no first hand experience of the utter bull they are typing!!!!

I have attended socials at Kev and Kats place, the events have always been a success and I have never seen a problem with their clientel for the other evenings.
If people would read threads and nit jump to assumptions, things would be much better.
Kat, Kev, I wish you luck wherever you move to and know that your radiant personalities will shine through whatever you do.
PLus you are a pair of complete horny *******
Hugs and Kisses

"SOME PEOPLE STRIVE TO BRING OTHERS DOWN RATHER THAT RAISE THEIR GAME"
That, believe it or not is the first part of the profile from Lickmeallover! Ironic that this sentence is on her profile but comes onto this thread and tries to put a downer on it!! Perhaps Sherringham is too far to travel?
If these socials get off the ground, you can count us in! We'd love the idea of getting out and meeting others in a social setting. Most of the socials are too far for us and our time is limited due to business, so this would be a real blast for us.
We did find out that a pub less than 200yards down the road from us used to let out its upstairs function room to a swingers group many years ago and got a very nice return for the drinks sold. Shame it'sd not still there |

Its the only bad thing living around here that there aren't any socials anymore that are localish. I think it's a good idea and i'll be there if it happens. |

I don't think the issue is neccessarily the travelling aspect.... if there are socials then people will travel to support them, so for a lot of people the distance isn't the issue... so you will get locals and no so locals attending
If you organise it people will come regardless....
For me the main issues would be to have exclusivity of the venue (would you be willing to close the pub for example for a saturday night IF you could get the number of people to sustain that......) and the all inclusiveness of the people going (i.e are you going to let everyone come along on a first come first serve basis or are you going to put these "quota's" on who can and can't attend) some socials do.... some socials don't, remember that can affect who wants to go and who doesn't |
