I spend a good 5 minutes having a wash, and douche, nails on, hair done, quick spray of lager behind my ears, Cant go wrong.

Make sure I'm immaculately shaved where it matters, and neatly groomed everywhere else...thoroughly showered, teeth are brushed..breath smells fresh... Then I seek out my sexiest looking underwear, a clean shirt and trousers...before worrying about the address and whether theres enough petrol in the car!!

That my hygiene is perfect and my appearance is good and doing that in time. So i can be early. Then hoping my nerves go, but never had one. So wouldn't know exactly. However I know the things I have said are givens anyway and everyone should do it.

Interesting you say it should be givens. I had a conversation with somebody recently and was surprised to hear that some people do not alwyas prioritise in this way.

nails and pubes trimmed the day before so no sharp edges on nails or hairs .. on the day ...washed or shower or bath shaved anti perspirant .. aftershave teeth clean . nice lucky pants or commando .. clean ironed button up shirt . all other clothes clean . condoms .. polos . petrol . directions .. leave plenty early to turn up on time x prezzy optional

Nice rule of thumb. Now it takes me about h20 minutes to get ready as I dont blow dry my hair anymore I managed to cut down the time. So that means a bloke should spend about 40...

So true! It's considerate to be there early so that the woman (if meeting a single) doesn't have to wait on her own. These touches of politeness are rare and very much appreciated
