what football team do people support and why

London

I am a spurs season supporter and I suppose my supporting or spurs goes back to when I was little.

I was looked after by a lady who supported spurs.

My parents were never interested in football...

You know what they say.

You can change your partner but you can never change your team..

I do have a soft spot for Barnet.. if anyone knows who they are.

They are in the firth tier of football

Alex supports our local team Exeter City and doesnt do the megarich clubs with deep pockets to buy a trophy at will, And also goes home and away watching England.

Its true about the football mentality if someone from their local rivals wanted to meet up it would be a big no even if that person was really nice etc x

QPR, watched them at home and away from the age of 14 till about 21. Then again when I was married for the 2nd time as we were both Rangers fans. Now living 200 and odd miles away I'm just an armchair supporter.

I was born and bred in West London, so local team for me. I also used to watch Hayes Town regularly when I lived in Hayes as well.

Went to lots of England matches at the Old Wembly Stadium as well.

Chelsea fan and have been since i was born ( due to my mum going out with a Chelsea striker in the 60's lol )

Have stayed a true blue and will never change.

Fantastic game yesterday against spurs some real end to end stuff and some great skill being shown, was a little annoyed at the refs poor decision to send Torres of ( watching the video showed it was not a yellow card at all )

However it was his decision at the time !

Yesterdays game for me showed real passion for good football

Second choice is Bristol City as its where im from and im not a gashead lol ( Bristol rovers )

"I support my local team. "

Thats how it should be far too many glory hunting fans.

When folk say supporters do they pay to watch them if not they are fans.

I used to be footy fan but the amount of overseas players and the diving etc has ruined it for me.

If england is to have a decent chance of winning competitions in medium to long term there has to be less reliance on overseas players english players are being held back by the amount of them at moment.

Do not get me wrong they do add to the quality generally but i would rather have a good national team rather than clubs reliant of overseas players.

I'm a big Rams fan, but I lived in London for 10 years and (if Derby weren't playing there) used to go and watch Charlton a lot. When in Italy I was a ST holder at Napoli. I still try and see them at least once a season even if, as now, they have tedious Spanish waiters in charge. Their fans are wonderful!

Liverpool runs through the family...stood on the Kop and watched us win plenty of matches.
