"to laugh at someone elses misfortune if they have previously caused you misery?"

I'd say a definite yes on that one.

Yes-even if they didn't cause you misery. Its in our nature -even slap basic stick humour makes us laugh at someone slipping on a banana skin.

I disagree, we shouldn't laugh at another's misfortune, no matter what.

But you try and stop me.

Totally ok! I think as karma has a way of tipping the scales back so if you cause others pain don't wine if you get it back.

Damn, Blackboa you beat me to it about Schadenfreude.

In business, if you are not nice to people as you go up the ladder, don't expect them to be nice to you on your way down. I love it when some arsehole is hoisted by his own petard.

penzance

I beleive humour is humour, be it racist, sexist, homophobic whatever. It all boils down to the person/s on the end of the humour being man/woman enough to take it. If they can't, fuck them. It's a dog eat dog life out there.

Being forces born and bread, with the piss take culture that goes with it, I have NO time for the mamby pambies that cry political corectness.

Build a bridge, get over it. Humour is humour.

It's character building.

There's too many softies around, thats why the UK is in the state it's in.

Sry to get on my soap box, but it really does annoy me when ppl say owwww that hurt, Get a life

Never read so much bollox in one post before. I know what forces humour is like as my brother-in-law is in the Army and from what I've seen, it's only soldiers who understand Army humour. To say that the UK is in it's current state because people don't have a s.o.h. is complete twaddle.
