An alarm has been going off for the last 20 mins, and is getting on ma tits.

Now I'm assuming it's a burglar alarm, but there seems to be no sight of plod whose station is only a 10 minute saunter away from where I live

Do they actually make any difference

Alarms do make a difference depending on how others respond. If my neighbours alarm was going off I'd be over there checking it out.

Not everyone is comfortable doing that tho, and in this day and age that is understandable.

Ok, if you were in a supermarket carpark and heard an alarm, would you rush over to see if someone was breaking into a car?

So the conversation goes

"Hello, I can hear an alarm"

"Whereabouts can you hear the alarm"

"Outside somewhere, it's dark and I live on the top floor of a building"

"Have you........

See what I mean

I would too, but this was an alarm that was not within the building that I reside.

It was just that it been going off for nearly 20 mins without anyone turning it off or investigating, I hadn't got a clue where it was coming from
