Get the home premium family pack, licence for 3 PC...Staples is VFM.
There is a application you can download off MS to say what will work in Win7
I too think is great, desktop had XP, laptop Vista, both on Win7 |

Honestly cant see much difference in win 7 and vista. Except of course if you try to do a search on a particular drive, IMPOSSIBLE AT TIMES springs to mind and the amount of times i get the " Explorer error has occured, Explore will now close " has 100% converted me to use firefox.
So, if you are happy with xp or vista, id stick with it |

"Not something else to learn.
I've still got XP, on the basis that I couldn't work Vista......
I'm such a technotwit "
I got a laptop for Christmas and it was Windows 7 and I was used to using Vista, since the main family PC we bought in May last year already had it installed.
The only difference I noticed between XP and Vista was the control panel was harder to use for uninstalling stuff when I mucked up
The main difference between Vista and Windows 7 for me was its easier to hide fab when the kids walk in when they are supposed to be outside, cos there is no long bar at the bottom saying fab. Just a picture of the e (for internet explorer) which is lit up and unless I put the pointer of the mouse over it no one need know what Im looking at online. for that reason alone I will not be upgrading the main PC cos I like knowing what the kids are doing without looking like Im staring over their shoulders.

XP on the laptops and Vista on the PC... I don't use or even notice half the stuff on Vista.... except when I knock the mouse of the desk and end up with all the pages open scrolling around the screen. This results in a button pressing frenzy as I have no idea how to get it back to normal view lol |

I don't know how to change it back so I'm fucked if I know how to get it up in the first place lol
It might be a handy feature if I actually knew how it worked lol |

Under the hood there's loads of tweaks, memory overheads are slashed from vista to 7, booting and shutdown times slashed, first look it's a vista clone but there's gestures, proper speech control (not just the dictation you could do before!) better support for touch screens, preview screens, etc. I am just getting started, but love 7 already! |
