because of the vast amount of fakes, it would help if members here and new members had to be photo verified before able to view profiles, send and receive mail
that would soon spoil any fun for the fakes here |

Good idea....now I'm only playing devils advocate here but all a new member has to do is take a pic of themselves with a piece of paper and their name on and send it in. Yes it will deter some but not most. Anything though that helps is a good idea. Maybe limit amount of emails for in verified to two a day ?? Just thinking..... |

You'd have to be pretty good at photoshopping to fake the requirements of holding a written sign showing hands etc. Either that or convincing someone else to hold a sign with your username and fabswingers written on it whilst you take a picture of them. Not impossible but much more difficult. If you zoom in on a photoshopped picture you can usually quite easily see that the pixels have been manipulated. |

so if you, as a guy wanted to pretend to be a female, to have a fake profile, you for example, would you hand a piece of paper with a profile name to give to your wife, girl friend, or work college, really think that unlikely, you would find yourself very single very fast lol |

I understand your reasoning and it possibly would put some fake/ timewasting type people off, but not all.
Admin do a brilliant job. I think they should scrap the photo verification system and use the time on something else. There are fake people all over the internet and in real life too. Admin aren't responsible for me and my safety, I am. |

I care as much about photo verification as I do for webcam veri's!
Can't be arsed with either!!
The only veri's that interest me are meet in person - and I've a pretty good numpty filter in my head already to avoid the fakes and timewasters!  |

Cant deny that makibg it mandatory for people to be photo verified will certainly reduce the number of fakes (although some will get round it). Fab will never do this though because it would also significantly reduce the amount of people who sign up to fab. I wouldnt of joined this site if I had to be photo verified first. I had no idea if it was a good site, whether my photo would be kept private, whether site was full of arseholes or not. I wouldnt sign up to site without checking it out first |

Admin have said in the past they won't be making PV compulsory so the filters and gut instinct is your best option.

Fakes... No matter how hard you clamp down will ALWAYS find a way of making accounts on here and anywhere else on the internet!
This place isn't Instashag so use your instincts. If you feel a profile is fake, either report to admin with your suspitions and let them deal with it, block them and forget about it!!! |

Bad idea in my eyes and a lot of people will not bother with the site if that happens. I used to not have any photos on my profile, yet when I sent out messages I just pm'd one. A lot of people who don't have pics. Don't want anyone to be able to see their photos. |

Don't bet on it!
The number of 'verified' (often by webcam) profiles that I've found had t'internet porn shots on - google reverse - I can count on several hands!
All reported - all pics and most of the profiles now gone! |

No I dont think they let you upload them normally. Some do have pics which look like tgey wiuld be accepted as photo veri but they are not e.g they forgot to put www. Before fabswingers.com. those pics can be sent but not ones which will pass as photo veri pic. Hope that all makes sense |

Yeah makes perfect sense that you can't send your PV out
But....We still have our pic we verified with on our PC and could upload it to our profile as a normal pic if we wanted to and then send that out |
