"1. Omo washing powder
2. Dreft or drift or something. Washing powder"
Did you know that sex starved housewives used to leave a box of Omo on show in their kitchen window so that randy tradesmen knew that the Old Man was Out ? |

My Mum and my Aunt once joked that OMO stood for 'Old Man Out' and that a certain neighbour had one in her front window on occasion...... Can't imagine what they were getting at....
And what ever happened to Lux soap flakes..??

"green shield stamps
Fine Fare" I worked in a Fine Fare as a teen
Pop bottles that you got 10p for when returned to the shop.
1/2p sweets, I used to piss the shopkeeper off when I would buy £1 worth and he had to count them all out |

1: An analogue car phone that you could only make calls on!
No text, no mms, no web.
No bloody signal either!!
2: My old 8 track cassette deck!
Wow, I loved that Ford Cortina!
Great car to have sex in too!!

Spud guns / cap guns and those rockets you put caps in that went bang when they landed.
Wooden school rulers and those wooden sticks with steel ink nibs you dipped in ink to write with. |
