do other people feel this way about the lifestyle !!!
Been swinging for 7 years now and met some nice people and some not so nice !!! lol
And recently I have started to become disillusioned with it all. I really cant put my finger on it just have this sense or feeling that I want more !! if that makes any sense
Would really be interested in yout thoughts on this one folks
maybe I need a break ??

Ive been around the scene for about 5 years...and i have this romantic notion about finding someone to have more of a relationship with , and ive done it a few times but they have wanted to invade my space and i know deep down i dont want that (well not with them anyway)..Just go with your guts ... if someone comes along and u feel differently about swinging then do what u need to do ...simple really ??? life happens... u have to go with it i find !!! |

I think you've answered your own question that you should take a break and no, we don't feel the same way about the lifestyle. We all get fed up when u have 'no shows' etc. but just move on and have fun. The whole swinging malarkey is supposed to be fun but gets taken way too seriously by many...which is their perogative, of course. Anyway, hope u find what you're looking for. |

Perhaps you just need a break, or perhaps you need something more in your life, such as a permanent lady friend, if you haven't already got one.
I don't think I could play on my own. It would probably be ok to start with, but I would get fed up going home alone to an empty house. Best of luck |

I miss the intimacy of having a life partner, such as kissing, cuddling up, and bear hugs.
However, I am not ready for another life partner just yet.
So I shall have some NSA fun until I find another life partner.
Who knows, I may be lucky to find one who will swing with me as a couple!  |

Well Pearl, I've certainly proved that to be possible.
I have to say that meeting someone on here has proved to be perfect, the fact that you don't need to hide anything or wonder how you will bring up the subject that you 'used to swing' etc etc its definitely a massive bonus. (That and the fact we may get to play as a couple too)

I understand where you are coming from.
I've only been swinging for two years, and it is still fun. However as Pearl has said I miss the intimacy at times. I think you need to take a break and reflect on what you want.
Swinging should be fun, if it's not then your feelings of dissatisfaction will only grow.

Been swinging off and on for over ten years now and have over the years hung up the swinging baton more times than i care to remember.
I find its something i cant seem to leave for definate.
Why not just take a break and concentrate on the forums and social side of things as many of us do .

Oooo wanting more on here!.........well it has been known to happen you know. 
But on a serious note disillusionment creeps into many areas. Have in the past found things drifted ve3ry much into a oneness. Sometimes meaningless sex is brilliant and very exhilarating. At others people do think like your hinting and think what the point. You could take a break or alternative you could find a regular playmate to swing with.
Anyway hope your mojo gets a revamp as I am sure it will. Might be a touch of the winter blues you have there, gowd knows we have had enough snow to get us all down. Get to spring and the sun out and as we all find the friskiness moves up a gear and normality will return.

I knew I would get some really great and positive answers on here.
I can honestly say that everyone that has replied has said something very positive or reflects how I feel.
I can truthfully say that I love the lifesyle and the freedom that it affords as a single person. But yes I do feel sometimes that sex and only sex is not enough.
I was in long term marriage that ended very badly after over 20 years and to be honest came like a bolt out of the blue one minute I was in love and literally the next I was getting divorced lol.
So yes I think I am mising the parnership thing and the intamacy that goes with it, But do you honestly think I will find that on a swingers site !!!! I have seen so many swinging partnerships blossum on these sites only to see them end in tears and to be honest I dont want to go throught that.
But I am sure that although I may not get the answer I will get some fantastic advice from you very knowledgable people or be ripped ruthlessly lol !!!! excuse the spelling to much cider methinks !!! |

Every partnership has a risk of ending in tears, so why should a swinger one be any different?
I believe it is better to have loved and lost, then never to have loved at all.

A swinging relationship is exactly the same as a vanilla........ it either works or it doesn't.
I met hubby in a swinging club, I moved in a week later, 5 months later we got married (reception in the club) and we are still together.......
If you meet a swinger, providing you clearly define your rules as a 'couple' or even give up swinging for a while whilst you get to know each other, then I personally don't see a problem with that kind of relationship. |

I think I may possibly go down the vanilla route for a while which may be hard as I seem to be having more fun than ever at the moment lmao!!! and I am looking foward to the posse meet in Gloucester if a certain mad lady manages to book / reserve, me a double room lol (as I aint gonna miss that ).
So I hopefully will get to meet a lot of you in the flesh so to speak !!!

think breaks can be good, give u ur own time to do ur things and just have a good old rest...we love having a break u come back all fresh and catch back up with old faces but the best part is meeting the new ppl who have joined too |

I met my partner on here and could'nt be happier. New rules as we are playing as a couple. I thiink once you get into swinging and you enjoy it. Its hard to get out of it too much fun and much more fun playing in a couple than playing as a single lady. |

Yes you are right I love the lifestyle and it really does become a big part of your life.
I think I am just going to see how it works out and take it from there.

I would avoid anywhere warm where there may be a lot of flesh on show but not on offer.
Somewhere cool and quiet and away from the crowd would be my choice.

hiya,for me as a single fem ,it's very much a roller coaster.one week i'm up for it,the next week ,i'm telling myself it's not for me.I really do think that once you dabble in the lifestyle it's 'in your blood' so to speak.......well that's what i think anyway xx |
