"Are you a sceptic or believer?
We''re non believers and think it's the mind playing games, as for the “Experts” well, that's people using mumbo jumbo trying to prove there is an after life."
It ain't so much about proving there's an afterlife as parting fools from their dosh. |

"Believe ..........some things can be explained away but not all "
No offence to anyone here, but if one looks long enough, they'll find it what their looking for, i.e. if you want to witness a ghost / poltergeist activity / hearing voices from some who's died, not difficult to be a believer, as I mentioned, no offence to anyone here, but I'm a believer, in that I believe there's a reason for everything |

"Definately a believer - i know what i saw!!"
I remember once watching some professor of ophthalmic opticians stating it takes a fraction of a second for the eyes to register with the brain, any lapse in between can cause the brain to register something that wasn't apparent, not saying it applies in your case, but it's possible. |

Hmmmmmmmmm
Definately don't disbelieve but neither do we 100% put out lives in the hands of mediums ...
Both of us firmly believe that there is something going on that we don't understand, but what it is, how it works, neither of us can begin to comprehend .....
Maybe in the fullness of time we will all understand .....
Lets hope so |

I believe in ghosts as much as I believe in the Loch Ness Monster. With so many experiments, research and the equipment they can use these days …. You’d think someone could bring a bit of scientific proof to the table by now.
Mediums…. I am sure a few of them do believe in what they think they do… and some are really skilled (at reading behaviour and other psychology based skills). In the main, it as a good way to get venerable people to part with money.
Poltergeist…. Hmmm. I have to admit to keeping a bit of an open mind to the theory of untapped energies in developing brains. But that’s quite a long way off of the child disappearing into the television and bright lights in the wardrobe.

believer in Ghosts/spiris, but not in mediums, as yet I have to meet one who can tell me things without having to ask questions to which they can cleverly find out info about you. I really annoyed the last one I saw cos all I said through the entire reading was 'you tell me' |

My parents always said if there is an afterlife they will come back and let us all know.
I did have one experience after my dad died that cannot be explained away but as yet, nothing else.
I would like to think they are together somewhere watching over us all as that makes me feel better, but I am not sure I am a believer in mediums and the like. |

Well, for 25 years I repaired televisions and not once did I find a child inside any of them. I found knives, forks, cocktail sticks, coins but never a child ..... |

They're not that clever.... look at the skills of people like Derren Brown. He doesn't even need you to answer he reads the tiny signals you show before your mouth even moves.... but at least he tells you it's all a con after lol |

I think most of these TV Mediums are cons, or showmen.
I'd be more likely to believe the old woman who lives just around the corner in her council flat and does her readings free of charge. She has nothing to gain or lose, so I'd be more likely to take notice of what she tells me than I would of some glitzy, cheesy TV 'personality' |

I have two sisters who take all what he says as gospel, even though one had a reading off him years back and it can only be described as fishing for information and her clinging to what odd snippets he got right ( like how the sky is blue, that sort of thing)
Mediums just make money on the vulnerable in my opinion. |

They tell the vulnerable what they want to hear Mediums are onto a winner as soon as the person steps over the mat, they've gone half believing their going to be told something that applies to them, what they hear is just a bonus and justifies the fee, all rather sad |

I don't not believe and have had an experience that was truly amazing and probably unbelievable to lots of people
Like other people have said its the fact that some vulnerable people get taken advantage of when they're grieving or in real need of professional guidance
The big TV personalities such as Derek Acora just crack me up laughing, its all smoke and mirrors and totally unbelievable to me |

Interesting observation, the only post to say having had some kind of “experience” yet is still a non-believer compared to those who've witnessed / heard “something” and are believers. |

Believers here, seen several things but the most convincing of all was a ball of light about the size of a football. It came out of a hedge and travelled about 2' above the ground along our promenade one evening,I'd just walked our dog and met Trace from work at the gym.
Trace couldn't see it and I would have doubted my own eyes but our dog clearly saw it and I set her after it,she chased it down steps onto the beach where it disappeared but she kept running up and down looking for it.
I wouldn't have believed it but for our dog. R

Believer here, because of a clp of things...
Firstly the house i grew up in, on a certain date each year [i forget the exact date now but it was in December at some point] you could smell burning through out the house, with no cause for it.
You could see from our living room right into out kitchen, and on more than one occasion all of us in the house saw a man standing in the kitchen, an old man in old work clothes with a white beard and a black cap. Granted it was always a glimpse from the corner of our eye but we all described him the same.
My mother researched the history of our house, she found records of a fire in the house on the date on which we could smell fire each year, and an old man had died in the fire.
Secondly... and the one that still sends shivers down my spine, When my mother gave birth to me and my older sister, when we where both around three months old she woke in the night and saw her grandmother [who had died a number of years before] standing over the cot smiling down at us. Mum always found comfort in this. When my younger sister was born she saw her grandmother again, but this time she was stood over the cot crying, a few days later my sister died of a cot death.
I personally believe there is something in it, i don't know what, and i wont find out till its my time. which fingers crossed is a very long way off |

I was always a sceptic, but im convinced i saw a ghost when i was 14 my teacher who i had been close to died. I woke up in the night and he was siting on the chair at the end of my bed.
Ive been to a few clairvoyants and taken them with a pinch of salt but the last one i went to mentioned something about my dads brother who had died about 10 months previously then came out with a statement that he used to say word for word, that kind of freaked me out |

"...but!!! Derek Agorah or whatever his name is ..... please!!!!

A large ego maybe lol .... I hear the latest thing is to reunite people with their long lost pets ... he starts barking pmsl "
Siren and I watched this Derek Acorah on TV the other night (had to switch over after 20 minutes though coz I found him excruciating annoying, and being a medium I was gobsmacked that he didn't look into the camera and say, "Oi! Leave that remote alone.") but anyway....
Watching his show, he'd pick something up and look aimlessly at the audience, knowing one of them owned the thing he held in his hand, then he'd turn around and talk to 'Sam' - his spirit guide (just a little word on that for a sec. Now surely a Spirit Guide has shaken off the physics of this plain of existence and can be anywhere it wants to be and as nobody can acutally see it, why would it stand behind him? Why does he turn around to talk to it?)...
Aaaaaanyway, 'Sam' whispers in his shell-like about someone on the other side wants to let someone on this side know that he's doing ok.
Now it was at this point where I got a bit sceptical about the whole thing...
Derek had to ask who owned the thing in his hand.
Why didn't the fookin spirit tell 'Sam' to tell Derek to tell Barbera - sitting in the audience looking like she's about to shit herself - that he's ok.
Why didn't he just say, "Hey, Barbs, ya dad's fine and here's ya book back."
Coz he's a fookin conman, that's why....
...and on a final thought, if heaven really is that wonderful a place, when I get there does anyone honestly think I'm going to interupt and 6,563,764 round of golf to come and have a chat with a scouser? |

I think im still a bit sceptical because ive read what kevnkat wrote and it gave me goosebumps and I have no reason not to believe that what was seen was seen
Then you have Laine that lost someone that she knows would make contact with her if he could
Why can't everyone in the afterlife show themselves in some way?
Or would we be unable too move for all the ghosts |

There's something ghostly about Jacks cock, it's not always visible to the naked eye, and usually you don't see it, but with 16 stone behind it, you definately know it's in |
